Great weekend getaway

Great location if you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The lake is calm and perfect for kayaking/canoeing with beautiful views and random visits from ducks swimming by. Our host Sean was very responsive and quick to help with any questions we had. Would definitely come back again!

A get together with friends.

Lots of space in this cottage. Was impressed by the cleanliness of all the cooking surfaces. It’s not the finished product yet but it’s close. The lake was amazing for swimming and or being out in the paddle boats /kayaks.

Sweet Spot!

Great spot near Bancroft with lots of space for a group to hang out and relax! Quiet lakeside area with beautiful wood sculptures throughout!

This property was not very well cleaned in between us and other guests. Very dusty. There was an odd smell (fish guts and stale grease?). We had to open all the windows, mop with Lysol, wash counters again. Anything to try and find the source. Next day we went into town for baking soda, lemon and air fresheners. The owner did send a credit of 30 to cover the hard costs of that, but nothing else. Wasn't a relaxing start to a weekend away. The cottage is located with a beautiful outdoor space by the lake, which we did greatly enjoy on some wonderfully sunny days.

Thank you for your feedback. Cleanliness and guest comfort are always top priorities. The cottage was fully cleaned, inspected, and documented with timestamped photos showing everything in clean and orderly condition before check in. When the guest reached out, I reviewed the situation promptly and issued a $30 goodwill credit through VRBO as a courtesy. The previous guests had only cooked vegetables, and there was no odor reported by them or my cleaner at the time of turnover. Since this stay, the property has been re inspected to ensure it continues to meet the high standards expected of all guests. I am glad you were still able to enjoy the outdoor space and the lake, and we look forward to welcoming future guests to a peaceful and well kept retreat.
