About this property
Stunning new family home within the treetops. So close to wineries & beach!
Kanangkal House is a unique, secluded sanctuary on 2.5 acres of pristine bushland in the heart of the Yallingup hills. The spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom retreat is in the ultimate location for your family, surrounded by award winning boutique wineries, breweries, restaurants and sensational beaches yet just a stones throw away from Dunsborough town centre. Enjoy a wine on the deck, BBQs & views of the roaring winter creek, whilst lapping up all the sights and sounds of the bush.
The space
At Kanangkal House, you will be in a bush setting, but are only a 10-minute drive to Yallingup General Store, Caves House Hotel and Yallingup Beach. You are even closer to the iconic Smiths and Indjidup Beaches, Wildhop Brewery, top-tier restaurants and wineries and recognised art galleries displaying unique and rare creations from local and international artists.
Built in 2023, Kanangkal House provides the ultimate combination of contemporary design, state of the art appliances and sophisticated interior, without taking away from the stunning backdrop of natural forest surrounding the house.
Immerse yourself in the essence of the Southwest lifestyle, with an unmatched view from the private deck, overlooking the roaring winter creek and sweeping valley views. Take a stroll through the property and surrounding walking trails and find numerous peacful places to rest and enjoy nature.
There is an undercover, outdoor dining area on the deck, with a BBQ and sundeck to lap up the morning sun. The deck is a perfect viewing point for the local kangaroos and iconic birds such as red/ white tailed cockatoos and kookaburras.
Open plan living is a focal point of Kanangkal House, with the skillion roofing of the kitchen and living area delivering huge vertical views and northern light, and large windows throughout the property framing the surrounding bushland.
Enjoy creating decadent dishes for you and your guests in the fully equipped, modern kitchen, while still enjoying inclusiveness in the other “less formal” areas of the living room.
Sleeping 7 guests comfortably in 3 bedrooms; spoil yourself in the Master Suite which features a Pillow top King bed (can be converted to 2 x single beds), stunning en-suite and an ample dressing room. The Master Suite opens up directly onto the sundeck - a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of tea.
Bedroom 2 is equipped with a decadent King bed and Bedroom 3 has a bunk bed and single bed. All three rooms are fitted with beautiful, quality linen. Guests in Bedroom 3 are also treated to a beautiful walk-in robe.
Both the Master Ensuite and Main Bathroom offer rainfall shower heads and lavish fittings, with a decadent clawfoot bath featured in the Main Bathroom.
You have access to Netflix and unlimited Wi-Fi (Startlink) throughout the house and there is a secluded private study area in the Master Suite if you wish to work during your stay.
There is a comfortable lounge and with a smart TV, as well as a festive dining table with seating for 12. Kanangkal House boasts a passive solar design, however the lounge area has a large reverse cycle air conditioner, and there are ceiling fans throughout the house to keep you cool during those really hot days. And let's not forget the pot belly fireplace to crank up in wintertime!
Guest access:
Guests will have access to the house and property in its entirety, excluding the shed. Guests are able to arrive any time after 3pm on their check in day, with a key box on site.
Weddings, events or parties, Leavers or caravans are not permitted Thank you.
Kanangkal House is family friendly - please request any equipment required for your stay (i.e. highchairs, cots, toys, children's cutlery and plates) and we will be happy to accommodate.
Firewood for potbelly is provided during May - Sept only.
Please note that Kanangkal House is supported with "stump flooring" as it is situated on a sloping valley. Although the decking area is protected with surrounding balustrades, we ask that families with small children are mindful of the heights.
Set on a large rural block, you will feel secluded but, there are neighbours on neighbouring blocks, locals at that, who savour the peace and quiet of the area. We ask therefore, you consider your noise levels and do not play amplified music outside because sound travels around the valley.
