Days can be spent walking the serene cottage roads, swimming, paddle boarding, floating on the giant styrafoam floatie or boating the rideau system (rentals are located on the lake and we have our own private boat launch on the property). Nights can be spent roasting marshmallows around the firepit, located at the water's edge, in the hot tub gazing at stars, watching movies or playing games in the enormous walk out basement. Dogs are welcome and there is tons of room for them to run. The picturesque town of Westport is a 30 min drive and boasts grocery store, LCBO, numerous restaurants/pubs and great shopping. The famous Kilbourns store, in Newboro, is only a 20 minute drive and the town of Elgin (LCBO, grocery store and pub) is only 15 min drive. There are 2 wineries in a short driving distance as well as The Opinicon Lodge which has a beautifully renovated restaurant and often has live music (5 mins by boat), Sky Croft Campground pizza (5 mins by boat) and the infamous Hotel Kenney (10 mins by car) if you don't feel like cooking. Otherewise enjoy preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen with a 5 burner gas top stove and oven or grill something on the BBQ. The 5 bedrooms comfortably sleep 11 people but if you need more room there are couches and plenty of room for a blow up mattress is you choose to bring one.
