This is truly a lovely place with stunning floor to ceiling windows all along the west side of the home. Beautiful views, great set up, with everything you might need and more.
The house was perfect! Every bedside table had earplugs. They had a gift card to a new coffeehouse in town. Not one complaint! Perfect place....use the earplugs!!!
Stephanie was a wonderful host! Gorgeous view!! This home had all the thoughtful details for a beautiful place to stay and fun trip away with the girls! Cute places to hangout within walking distance and other fun places within just a short drive. Would recommend and would stay again!
The property is very well stocked and super relaxing. Even the trains added ambiance! The house has a cozy feel which was perfect for our spring break getaway.
We stayed in the wonderful home in Maiden Rock recently as we were attending a wedding in Pepin. Such a cute property! We would highly recommend this property. Don’t forget to stop at the Mercantile for coffee or Six Shooters for a great breakfast!Great communication for the owner! Thanks Stephanie!!
Great trip away from the cities. Beautiful views. Very comfortable surroundings, nicely decorated. The trains made it interesting too. Would stay again, thanks!

Wonderful rental on the Mississippi River
We enjoyed three nights at this rental. It is very comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful view of the river. There are a number of small towns nearby with interesting restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed visiting Crystal Cave. The train noises in the night take a bit of getting used to but cranking up our white noise machine helped. The owner was very responsive. We would enjoy staying here again.
We stayed 3 nights at the Wounderful Whistle Stop Cottage. The views were Amazing from any window in the cottage. We enjoyed the location from which we could visit the small local communities and go to larger ones, such as Red Wing, Lake City, or even Stillwater or Hudson! We enjoyed the stillness and peacefullness of the cottage, especially during this time of division in our neighborhoods, and nation.I stayed there in June with 2 friends, we loved the cottage and area. I plan on returning again with more friends!
It was so nice to stay at a place that understands the need to be able to cook in the kitchen. Her kitchen has every utensil or pan you may need to cook your meal and she even has sharp knives! The home is located in a great location, close to many outings and very comfortable.
This was such a cute and cozy place to stay! Everything was well thought out by the host, and we had everything we needed. The train does go directly through the front yard very close to the property. It seemed to go through at least once every hour in the sleeping hours, but a few times an hour during the day. Every bedroom had a sound machine and ear plugs to help with the noise, which was such a nice touch! The location was close to everything we wanted to see and explore. The views were incredible too!

wonderful place
Everything was great. Only hiccup was that bathroom door with the shower did not close completely, same with bedroom with two twin beds. Wonderful views, responsive host, well appointed, comfortable beds.. would stay again. There are trains going by all night, with horns at times but there were thoughfully placed earplugs and eyemask on bedside stand on each side of the beds. It was not a big deal at all.

Thank you for taking the time to place a review and letting me know about the doors- the doors have since been fixed and now work properly.
The best part of the property are the views. We watch ot on the water for hours with the binoculars that were provided. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything was clean and nicely furnished. The parking is tricky when you first arrive without the garage opener as you need to have the garage open already before pulling in.The home is on a busy road as well as rail road tracks but that didnt bother us.We enjoyed our stay

Beautiful Cottage
We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the cottage. Beautiful and modern place! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back in the near future. Everything we needed for grilling and cooking were provided. Love the view of the lake and despite the train being active during the day and night, we didn’t mind it. It wasn’t as loud as we expected. My toddlers didn’t mind it and loved seeing the train pass by. Would highly recommend this place!

Beautiful Home with Lovely View
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Maiden Rock. The home was very well-appointed, check-out was a breeze, and the location was great! We really enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Pepin and the deck overlooking the water. We were able to walk to the local coffee shop each day--highly recommend Maiden Rock Mercantile for delicious coffee! The trains took some getting used to, but we ended up enjoying them as a part of the overall experience. We used the provided ear plugs and sound machines at night to block the sound of passing trains and it was a non-issue for our group.Would stay here again!
The house worked out perfectly for our family of 4. Everything was as described, but people should know this is directly next to railroad tracks. Sleeping in the lower level room it was not an issue. If you have ear plugs, no issue either. Let's of games available and the view is amazing!
