Nestled up the hill in Blandswood this home sits in a very private and secluded setting amongst the beautiful native trees with spectacular views of little Mt Peel from the very large entertaining deck.
Wake to the sound of beautiful birdsong and watch the Kereru soar through the valley. Sit back on the deck with a good book or a drink and embrace the peacefulness and beauty that surrounds you. For those that wish to explore, there are many great walking tracks nearby whether you want something easy or a little more challenging.
The home is made up of 4 bedrooms - 3 queen rooms and one bunk room that can accommodate up to 10 people with the master having an ensuite complete with spa bath to relax your body after a day's adventuring. The main bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and tub and also houses a washing machine that is available for use. There is also a portacot and portable highchair available for toddlers.
The kitchen is well equipped with a fan oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery etc and many basic pantry items available for use. Tea and coffee is also provided. There is also a gas BBQ for use on the deck along fixed overhead electric heaters. Unfortunately the outdoor fire is locked and covered and is not available for use due to the high fire risk in the forest.
The house boasts a large array of DVD's, games and puzzles for you to enjoy and as there is a TV in the bunk room, this can be ideal for the young ones to have their own space and the adults a little time on their own. There is no SKY or Internet Connection available in this home but it does have a Spark booster that gives you a little better cellphone coverage.
Heating in this home is by way of log burner and a heat pump as well as wall mounted heaters throughout the house that can be used.
There is a large parking area for guests, however there are a few steps to access the house.
Geraldine is a short 15 minute drive away with a selection of eating places and shops. There are no shops or eating places available in Peel Forest.
All linen is provided and cleaning cost is included following your stay.

Thanks for your review Graeme - pleased you enjoyed your stay 😊
The cottage is truly something special. The warm welcome, complete with fresh flowers and sweets, is already impressive. The interior is tasteful, high-quality, and very clean. From the large veranda, you have a wonderful panoramic view of the adjacent forest, which makes it a great spot for birdwatching

So pleased you enjoyed your stay … I hope the weather allowed for some great bird watching.. thankyou for leaving it spotless this was much appreciated 🤗
An idyllic spot to stay. It was a home away from home, but in the beautiful bush. It was quiet, private, and filled with native birdsong. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. The situation is ideal for trampers, with many walks into Peel Forest.Trudy was easy to communicate with and responsive to messages. We would highly recommend.

Exceptional holiday home in the Lovely Peel forest
This house provides a very comfortable stay with beautiful rooms and a lovely outlook from the large deck. We were not familiar with the area before we stayed and greatly enjoyed the walks we did in the native forest. We would gladly stay again if we revisit the area. Host also helpful and quick to respond. Only slight thing would be if there was a shelf in kitchen/laundry for food storage. Many thanks.
