Villa Mathilde is a beautiful character villa in Catalan style in the charming village of Bouleternère, set between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The villa has spacious living areas, a huge patio with outdoor dining table, overlooking the fruit orchards of the beautiful Têt and Conflent valleys.

Close to sandy Mediterranean beaches, ski resorts, wineries and some of the best walking trails in Europe. Four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one en suite and a separate WC.

The space

Villa Mathilde is a spacious and comfortable villa, in the picturesque village of Bouleternere - situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, 30 minutes from beaches on the Mediterranean, and 90 minutes from resorts in the high Pyrenees.

The house has beautiful terraced gardens and a brand new pool with sun deck. Activities are almost endless – they include hiking in the Pyrenees, skiing in winter (60 minutes away) award-winning Languedoc wineries, mountain and road biking and swimming/water sports at beautiful local beaches.

It’s ideal for an activity holiday or just to get away from it all - you can relax in the garden or pool side, and look over fruit orchards towards the mountains. The house is in superb condition and fitted with good quality furniture, beds and a lovely well equipped kitchen.

You can expect beautiful crisp new bed linen and fluffy towels. The house is suitable for winter letting as it is heated throughout with the added bonus of a cosy wood burning stove. Villa Mathilde is the perfect place for your holiday with family and friends.

All double bedrooms are fitted with ample hanging and drawer space. Each one has a hahairdryer.

The spacious family bathroom has a full sized bath, with an over bath shower, toilet and hand basin. There is a separate WC with hand basin on the first floor.

The lounge has a TV area, large comfy sofa and extra lounge chairs. You can watch both French and British channels, or just settle down to a favourite film on the DVD player. If you want to watch the full range of UK channels, BBC, ITV etc bring your laptop or tablet and we will tell you how to get all your favourite UK TV shows.

This is a cosy area and during the cooler winter evenings you can relax in front of the wood burning stove.

The dining area, set in an alcove, has an elegant wooden table with places for 8 people – lovely for sharing a meal with family and friends.

Downstairs (separate entrance) is the utility room with washing machine, dryer and a second fridge - handy in summer to keep drinks icy cool.

The garden is completely fenced off for the safety of children and dogs.

Inside the main gate there is a car parking area which will accommodate 4 cars. There is also on-street parking nearby.

The house sits in its own beautifully landscaped grounds; there is a BBQ terrace and a patio with a very large mosaic marble outdoor table – perfect for alfresco dining on warm summer evenings

There are other shady terrace areas dotted around the property – ample opportunities to find a quiet secluded place to read a book.

The swimming pool (7m x 3.5m - 1.6m deep) is situated on one the garden’s terraces, and is surrounded by a paved deck. The area is equipped with 4 sun loungers and a parasol, bistro table and chairs.

The pool is fenced for your safety, and is equipped with a safety cover outside high summer. The views from the pool, house and garden are of beautiful fruit orchards and wooded hills.

Guest access

Guest have private access to all areas, house gardens, terraces, pool, laundry/utility area in the garage, parking and free wifi.

We have a small team of people who look after the house, including a housekeeper, gardener and poolman. We will send you contact details after you have booked.
