Situated on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk with surrounding countryside, quiet country lanes and footpaths on the doorstep, this single-storey stable has been totally revamped in 2022, and is perfect for exploring the area either by car, on foot or bicycle. Simply relax and enjoy a barbecue in the enclosed sheltered courtyard garden, and for cooler months, snuggle up by the wood burner. Nestling in a delightful rural setting, this converted detached stable, stands within the grounds of the owner’s home. There are footpaths from the doorstep leading to Wacton Common. It is a stroll or short drive is the village of Long Stratton, ½ mile, with its pub, supermarket, take-away restaurants, award winning café, library and butcher.
Close by are many attractions, including Banham Zoo, Forncett Tank and Industrial Steam Museum, Bressingham Steam Museum, Wymondham Abbey and many pretty market towns with bistro pubs. The Suffolk coastline is also within easy reach, with its many seaside resorts where you can sample the local seafood, or travelling north, visit Cromer, famous for its end-of-pier shows and wonderful crab sandwiches. Hire a boat on the Norfolk Broads at its capital, Wroxham, or take the children to BeWILDerwood, a treetop adventure park. Visit the medieval city of Norwich, 30 minutes drive away, with its cathedral, castle museum, shopping malls, market square, cafés, restaurants and theatre. Excellent bird watching opportunities at Strumpshaw Fen RSPB reserve, Surlingham, Rockland Marshes, Buckenham Marshes, Berney Marshes and Breydon Water. There is a golf course nearby, or enjoy a spa day at Dunston Hall, 7¼ miles. Fishing is available locally. Beach 28 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
