The house has three spacious bedrooms. The Master Suite on the main level has a queen bed with Leesa mattress, walk-in shower, and antique claw-foot soaking tub. Excellent property that is well designed and appointed. Comfortable, clean stay in a great location and the hosts were great. Thank you! We would definitely like to book again.
We had a great time in Athens and an incredibly comfortable stay. The accommodations were exquisite the proximity to campus and the walking trails into downtown was amazing. We appreciate the hospitality and would stay again.
Great property! All bedrooms have their own full bath which was great for privacy. Was in Athens for a family wedding. Each night we made great use of the outside firepit area.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and the touch to little details. The bedding was very nice, bathroom amenities, including towels were above average. Kitchen was stocked perfectly.
This property was literally the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. It was comfortable, well-equipped, wonderful outdoor space, great location and responsive hosts. Highly recommend!
Fantastic 2 night stay for 3 couples! The house was described perfectly, they had tons of thoughtful touches that made you say, “wow, they thought of everything!” Great location walking distance to Mama’s Boy cafe, close game day tail gate lot and walking trails connecting you to campus!

This house was perfect for our family and pets for our 3 day convention. This was our second time staying here, and it is well stocked and comfortable!
The location of this property is great! We were in town for a wedding in downtown Athens, and it was a quick Uber ride away. Everything was just as described in the listing and communication with the property manager could not have been easier. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Athens.
Property was just as advertised. It was perfect for our weekend wedding.

About the host
Hosted by Josh and Nicole Bridwell
We're Steve and Jill, both native Atlantans. Jill works freelance for Atlanta ad agencies. Steve was CTO at an Atlanta media services company. Now retired, he is directing his geek super powers toward Mulberry Fields. We love Atlanta, but let's face it, it can be a little hectic. A few years down the road we wanted to move to a more compact walkable city, but we didn't want to give up music, food, or culture. We decided on Athens, which has everything we were looking for in a city and allows us to maintain our Atlanta connections. So in a few years the house you are renting will be our full time residence. (We can't wait!) Since this will be our permanent home someday, we will continue to add improvements and will never cut corners on the property.
Josh and Nicole, our property managers, are local Athenians. They help manage our bookings and keep the house is tip top shape. You'll be communicating with them during your stay. Josh and Nicole have a few rental properties around town and enjoy hosting wonderful guest like yourself! Josh is in finance and Nicole is a graphic designer and photographer. They enjoy traveling, being active, and hanging with their pups Gus and Mellie.
Why they chose this property
We couldn't believe our luck in finding this place. The house is a one-of-a-kind by designer/builder Eric Wright. It was designed to leave a light footprint on our planet, but the spaces, textures, and light just have a feeling of Wright-ness (okay, pun intended). It is truly in a Goldilocks location, a very short walk to all of the downtown and campus action, but just across the river and sited right across from quiet, lovely Dudley Park!
What makes this property unique
The location is just to the east of downtown. It is extremely close to both the University (Sanford Stadium) and the downtown scene, but being on the east side of the Oconee River, it is quiet and laid back, with the beautiful Oconee Greenway just around the corner. It is also just a few blocks from Exit 8 on Loop 10, so getting into and out of town is a breeze - no need to run the gauntlet of Broad Street. On weekends you will see cars mysteriously parked across the street from the house. Those are locals who park here to make the walk to Mama's Boy, a standout in the already exceptional Athens restaurant scene. A short walk in the other direction takes you to Weaver D.'s., the little soul food joint that gave us the expression "Automatic for the people," the inspiration for one of REM's most famous album titles. In under 10 minutes you can walk to The Classic Center for major concerts. Walk another block and you are in the heart of the downtown retail/entertainment district. In the other direction it's about a twenty minute walk to Sanford Stadium. Once you arrive you can enjoy so much of Athens without getting back in your car. By car, you are ten minutes from all Athens has to offer. We also can't say enough about our sunken garden. It is so private and so pleasant!
