A warm welcome awaits you at The Lookout. Your St Ives home from home! As you walk through the front door, the first thing you see is that panoramic view. Spotlessly clean, the light and ambience of the house engulfs you. You've made it, your holiday has started, it is time to make yourselves at home, relax and enjoy.
The House:
A stylish and beautifully presented town-house, superbly positioned with fantastic views of the sea across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse and the North cliffs beyond.
Location:
Fantastic location with beaches, shops, restaurants and galleries all within a 5-15 minute walk. Porthminster Beach being 5 minutes downhill, while Porthmeor Beach, on the other side of St Ives, is more like 15 minutes if you go straight there and are not side tracked by all the lovely views, shops and restaurants!
The House Inside:
Remodelled in 2022 for your comfort and enjoyment, with a light, airy feel. The Lookout is spacious, cosy, comfortable and well equipped.
The House Outside:
There is parking for 2 cars which is a huge bonus in St Ives, while at the front of the house there is a good sized garden with beautiful views for relaxing and al fresco dining.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Please also empty the dishwasher when it's completed its cycle

If you have been able to use the outdoor sofa, please return the cushions to the large garden cupboard where they are stored.

We love it when guests leave comments in the guest book. If time allows, tell us about your holiday.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

On departure, please leave the house tidy, strip beds, empty the bins and lock internal doors returning the house key to the key safe.

Do not feed or encourage the seagulls, beautiful though they are, they leave a smelly mess and can be aggressive and cause injury.

Please let us know of any breakages. Broken glass must be wrapped and bagged and left outside beside the wheelie bins as they are emptied manually.

We loved our stay at the Lookout. It is in a great location. Easy to drive to with good parking. It was a very comfortable place to stay and the views were fantastic. The house was very well equipped.It was also very easy to walk to the center of St.Ives and Portminster Beach. We had a lovely breakfast at the Cornish Deli and dinners at the Portminster Beach Cafe and Ardor. Lunch at the Tinners Arms before hiking back to St.Ives is well worth it.I would certainly recommend it to my friends to stay there.

The Lookout is a beautiful property, set over three floors, it has stunning views of the sea, the golden sands of Carbis Bay and far beyond from every floor.The house is beautifully appointed, with a comfortable bed in the top floor bedroom, just the place to watch the sun rise.With a large new kitchen on the ground floor, a lovely living room in which to relax on the first floor, and a garden overlooking the sea, it is just about perfect.All this, and just a short walk to the harbour and St Ives town centre.The property owner, Rosie, is a pleasure to deal with, and could not have been be more helpful.We would return in a heartbeat.

Rosie couldn’t be a better host. She gave us lots of information beforehand and and was in touch making sure we were okay. I knew she was at the end of the phone if we needed her.The house is absolutely superb. The outstanding features are the wonderful view, the outdoor space and the fantastic internal decor. The kitchen is marvellously equipped and very easy to use. There is a large table for eating. There are plenty of glasses and plates etc and everything is clean and new. The upstairs lounge is extremely comfortable with wonderful views over the bay. The house is well provided for with many games and books.The beds were extremely comfortable with sparkling bedlinen. A highlight is the upstairs bedroom with its wonderful view and small balcony.The house is well situated for a wonderful view, with easy access down hill to St Ives and the beaches. However be warned it is quite a steep climb back up!We had a great week in St Ives and the local area and if we come back, we would always choose to stay at the Lookout.

Amazing Stay!

This place was great! It was clean and spacious with a great view. The walk to town was only 10 minutes and 5 to the beach. It was the perfect place not only to explore St. Ives, but all of Cornwall.

Wonderful stay

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Lookout Point. The views from the property are beautiful and inside everything is just perfect. Everything you could ask for is provided and communication with the owner was so helpful and prompt. Lookout Point is beautifully decorated and it rates top marks for cleanliness.

We had a wonderful holiday, the house was perfect for the children with toys, a highchair and a cot available. Rosie was great and gave us a call at the beginning of the holiday to ensure we had everything we needed which was really appreciated. We loved the location of the house as it was walking distance to everywhere. The views from the house were incredible and made the house extra special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The lookout is a fantastic holiday home with wonderful outdoor areas to sit and gaze at the beautiful coastline of St Ives. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need and all fantastic quality. Would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful house, it was very comfortable and well equipped. We live in The Cotwolds and have 3 grown up children. I grew up in Camborne so Cornwall has always been a big part of our lives and with the family connection we are frequent visitors. The joy of running The Lookout is that we can share our love of Cornwall and St Ives which has always been a special favourite.
The picture is taken on the walk from St Ives to Zennor.

Why they chose this property


We love St Ives because of it's timeless, picturesque quality : spending sun soaked days on the beach, browsing the art galleries, superb pubs and restaurants and fantastic Coastal walks. It is the quintessential English family holiday destination with all its variables in scenery, beaches, coastline and of course, weather!

St Ives is a destination for all the family young and old. It is a romantic place with an extraordinary light which draws artists and artisans from all over the world, You can find peace and a place to party, no-one is left with nothing to do.

From St Ives, you could take a day trip to the Scilly Isles, or the Eden Project or any number of National Trust Houses and Gardens, not least St Michael's Mount or Trencrom, a Neolithic Tor Enclosure from which you can see Godrevy Lighthouse on the North Coast and St Michael's Mount on the South.

It is a destination you get hooked on and will want to return to time and time again. The tide is ever changing, but the beauty of this place is constant and timeless.

Another huge plus is you can either walk to Porthminster Beach or to the centre of town easily within 10 minutes, yet it is tucked up and away from all the bustle of a vibrant and popular seaside destination.

What makes this property unique

In 2022, we completed a huge remodelling project with a newly fitted kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and sitting room, all done to the highest standard. The house is furnished and decorated not to be like a standard holiday let, but a home we want to share, with home comforts and ascetic touches for your enjoyment.

We love this house because of it's airy yet comfy feel. As soon as you walk in you are drawn through the Hall to the stunning views from the Kitchen. You can further enjoy the views from the sitting room on the first floor and the master bedroom at the top of the house.

There are wooden floors throughout the ground floor which add to the light open feel as soon as you enter the House.

There is plenty of room outside for alfresco dining, barbecues or simply relaxing on the sun terrace.

One of the main benefits of this house it is light and spacious with panoramic views. The fact that it is also within walking distance of beaches, shops and restaurants and has parking is a huge advantage. You can spend the whole week in St Ives, or go out on a day trip without worrying about where to park on your return.
