This may be the nicest, well equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in. Truly comfortable bedding, updated bathrooms, spotless yard and hot tub, plus the perfect kitchen for our Thanksgiving meal away from home. Jo is very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay, both the humans and the furry family members!

Thank you so much, we appreciate being appreciated!
Our aim is to make HH feel as luxurious as a good hotel (you're on holiday after all) but that it's still homely enough that everyone can simply relax and enjoy!
Amazing house, just perfect for a holiday by the sea
What a wonderful house, everything you could ever want or need is waiting for you inside this property. Jo (the owner) is incredible she has thought of every last detail to make your stay just perfect. I traveled with children, husband, parents and dogs and everyone of us felt the same. We were totally all spoilt from toys for the children, treats, beds, towels, shampoo for the dogs, the hot tub and wonderful safe garden, the most beautiful products in every bathroom, I could easily go on. I can not recommend this property highly enough, it was also spotlessly clean and had the most beautiful beds. The location is also perfect just near enough to the beach but also the very lovely town, full of interesting shops and very good restaurants, both within walking distance. We all had the best week there is so much to do around the area (if you can leave the beach!) we will definitely be returning in the future.

We're always thrilled to get a glowing report - makes it all worthwhile. We like to think HH is relaxed but luxurious but of course, we're biased. Glad you had the best of weeks!
Genuinely couldn't fault the property...every detail was thought of & of the highest quality. If you want a chilled break, in a stunning property, Hydrangea House is perfect.

Thanks for a great review! Just so you know, you were great guests too!
So pleased HH was perfect for your celebration gathering.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and so well equipped!
Jo is a fantastic host, she was happy to answer any questions that we had and made sure everything was ok during our stay.
If you are looking for a relaxing get away with family or friends I would highly recommend 🙂
Jo and Kevin are extremely helpful and will everything to ensure you have a good time. My 15 yr old son is autistic and can sometimes lash out In different surroundings causing damage which I always try to avoid being as it is someone’s home! But Kevin and joe did everything they could to ensure that I didn’t worry about it. Even taking a tv off the wall in my son’s room because they new it would make me happy!
Great place and people
Thanks very much

About the host
Hosted by Jo & Kevin
Hydrangea House is our 'humble brag', old Kentish slang for modestly bragging about something which one is actually very proud of. Our 'little house by the sea', was born out of the desire to do something positive with a small critical illness payment (along with a larger bridging loan) that came my way when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. It was what I'd dream of whilst enduring treatment. Hythe was where we retreated when we needed to escape, children and dog in tow, bundled into the car to soak up the sun or to embrace the winter winds along the promenade. Whatever the weather we'd return revived, ready to tackle whatever life had in store for us. With amazing family support, along with care and treatment from the Oncology Department at Maidstone I find myself fit and well with a renewed zest for life. We're fortunate that out of something awful we now have something amazing, which we want to share with you. We aim to repay our gratitude of our situation by donating back to the organisations that supported us.
Why they chose this property
We truly believe our home is in the very best location to enjoy everything Hythe has to offer! Away from the hustle and bustle of some of our busier coastal towns Hythe is perfect for those wanting a traditional seaside holiday without noisy arcades and tacky shops. There's still plenty to do, Hydrangea House is just a short jaunt from the sea. It has a wonderful pebbled beach but there are sandy areas for buckets and spades too. The promenade, approximately 2 miles in length is perfect for walking and cycle rides or to simply sit and watch the fisherman try their luck. Dogs are welcomed along most sections of the beach making us a fantastic pet friendly destination too. If you tire of the sea then take a boat ride down the Military Canal or explore the High Street with it's quaint mix of tea shops, cafes, antique and vintage stores or head out on an adventure to one of the many local attractions.
