An immaculate property in a good location
We stayed for a week in August with our 2 kids, having never been to Cornwall on holiday before. The property was absolutely immaculately clean on arrival and pretty much everything you could want was there. St Agnes is a short walk away and is a beautiful small town with some amazing bakeries plus pubs and restaurants. The location was a great base to explore the area with the amazing beaches for body boarding and paddleboarding. It was possible to walk to the beach but it was a bit of a trek with all the family gear. Had to get out early if you wanted parking anywhere! Definitely recommend, I would consider returning.

Great summer holiday in Saint Agnes
We had a great week in Saint Agnes. The property was great, and the family love to spend time in Saint Agnes. Great location as it has nice access to some of the best beaches in Cornwall. The only bad part was that the cleaning crew could have spent a bit more time cleaning the place before we arrive late in the day and hope they improve the Wi-Fi, which was pretty slow for an area with fast speed broadband.

Such a lovely property
This upside-down barn is absolutely lovely, with no expense spared in equipping it with anything you may need, even including a torch and binoculars! Everything is good quality, with lovely fluffy towels and comfortable beds. The main bedroom en-suite has a rainforest shower and the other bathroom has a bath with shower over. Toiletries are provided, as are basic cleaning products and a welcome pack from Cornwall Hideaways. In the storeroom opposite there is a locked room that renters have access to - everything you could possibly need for outdoors is in there. However, we did experience two problems. 1. The property is on the main road into St Agnes, which is pretty busy and noisy, with fast-moving traffic. 2. We were allowed to take our two dogs, but apart from the communal patch of grass, there was nowhere to walk them, despite a footpath opposite to the Beacon, but this was very overgrown so we never attempted it.

Brilliant Holiday Stay
We loved the Shires. My family included two teens and a dog. Great location for walking along the cliffs to the beach and the town. Although you have to walk a few hundred yards along the road with no path which wasn’t ideal. The lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed. Great to have use of the BBQ and body boards and stuff in the store. Very good customer service and most helpful staff at Cornwall Hideaways. Absolutely love St Agnes which has several restaurants, bars, shops takeaways etc. Lovely town. 2 beaches. If you don’t mind a lot of walking you hardly need the car.
