About this property
Cute country home, steps to quiet boat launch, with private hot tub!
Enjoy the best Osoyoos has to offer. Nestled in between vineyards and just steps from the lake, our 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom home is just waiting for you to enjoy. There are huge outdoor living areas off the front and back of the house, with a private hot tub on the back deck. You are steps from a boat launch for your use, and plenty of parking is available for when you're not in the water. Experience the privacy and tranquility of a rural stay, yet you are a 5 minute drive from downtown Osoyoos, and minutes away from numerous wineries.
Please note that this is not a lakefront property, nor lake-view property and there is no public beach within walking distance. The boat launch, which is a 10 second walk from the property, can be used to access the lake with kayaks, paddle boards, an evening swim etc but there is no place to set up chairs etc. The closest public beach is a 5 min drive away.
Also please be aware that there is no place to moor a boat or other watercraft in the water at this property and all watercraft does need to be taken in/out after each use. Our boat launch is very quiet, so you don't have to contend with any line ups to launch! There is a long straight driveway associated with the property to park your boat when not in use that is just steps from the launch. Please respect our neighbour's private beach front and do not pull and up leave your boats/water toys on the shore in front of their homes.
We strongly encourage all of our guests to purchase trip cancellation insurance. While we will do our best to work with you in any situation, we do have a clear cancellation policy listed. In the event you cannot travel (ie. covid exposure/symptoms or lung pathology which makes traveling in smokey conditions challenging), our refund structure will be as listed in the cancellation policy at the time of booking.
The maximum overnight house guests in 6. Violation of this rule can result in cancellation of your stay with no refund. Also please be advised that the person booking is responsible for any damage that occurs to the home during your stay and the repair/replacement cost will be deducted off the damage deposit. We understand that accidents happen- if you accidentally break or ruin an item please let us know so we can replace it for the next guests. Please don't attempt to hide damages. Overtly stained towels (including those bleached from the use of facial creams/cleansers) will have the replacement cost per towel deducted from the damage deposit. We kindly ask you use disposable face wipes if you are using acne/medicated face cleansers.
Lastly, as we are located so close to the water and have a large green space with numerous flowers/scrubs on site so you may encounter bugs/animals endemic to the area during your stay including ants, spiders, beetles, wasps, bees, and mice. While we do our best to ensure these are always just outdoors (and never indoors) we cannot control what may enter the home if doors are left open etc. Should you encounter any of these in the property and would like assistance, please reach out immediately to us. For longer stays, you likely will encounter an ant or spider inside the home and on the outoor covered patios-- it's part of country living so close to the water! We also have other wildlife in the area: bears, coyotes, deer, snakes, bats are in the area. It would be rare to encounter them, but could happen.
