About this property

Amazing Victorian Apartment near Kensington Palace and Notting Hill

Our apartment is located in one of the finest streets of Kensington, within easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello market.

In the spring, the cherry blossom trees are amazingly beautiful and you can enjoy them from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine and having a few nibbles . Sitting out on the balcony is a great way to unwind after a hard day's site seeing or shopping with much to see and do on your doorstep and a number of Tube stations only a few minutes away.

We have tried to both keep the original features of the apartment (beautiful cornices, fireplace, origianl window shutters) and create a relaxing, modern feel to the place through our choice of colours, furniture and pictures. TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and a wide range of TV and radio channels, Wifi, and a selection of books, CDs and DVDs will hopefully also help you relax and unwind in the evening.

The main bedroom has a superking size bed which can be converted into two single beds if required. A comfortable kingsize sofa bed in the lounge can be quickly opened (with a hidden compartment to store blanket and pillows when not in use) and the apartment can therefore accommodate four people without difficulty.
In the summer, you will appreciate the efficient aircon portable units.

Lovely stay in a beautiful area of London! The apartment was perfect and offered so much more space than a hotel room for our family of 4.The hosts were very responsive to a few needs that came up during our stay. The sofa bed in the living room was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.There is an adorable food shop called Bayley & Sage within walking distance as well as an extensive Whole Foods. Also to note, a beautiful flower market down the street at St. Mary’s Abbott Parish Church.

Lovely Home

Rose met us at this beautiful home and made sure we were settled before she left. The home was super clean and comfortable and is located in a fantastic area on a quiet and lovely street. Wonderful place to stay!

Our family had a really great time staying for four nights . The apartment met all our needs - it was clean, modern and comfortable. The bedroom was great and the pull-out couch comfortably slept two. The place had a lot of light as well. It was quiet and close to shops and the tube. The checking in and out experience was super easy. We had a great experience.

A most lovely apartment in a most lovely quiet street in the heart of Kensington. No traffic noise, no sirens, barely a pedestrian in sight. This is my favourite part of Kensington and this apartment is perfect. Feel like a local, love it !

Unit was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities we wanted and needed. The wifi connection was high speed. The location was excellent, right near Notting Hill Gate tube stop and Kensington High Street. It's in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The host was very responsive, helpful and quite kind. She worked with us when we needed to adjust our stay by 2 days and sent the cleaner for us midway through our 2.5 week stay. We really appreciated her kindness and accommodation.The only unanticipated hiccup upon arrival was that there was work being done on the exterior of building and there were workers on scaffolding right outside our windows during our stay which necessitated keeping the shades drawn. It was also very noisy at times. It was beyond the owner's control, but did come as a surprise to us. But the unit itself was comfortable but for that inconvenience. Thankfully we were out of the flat most days and did not have to endure much of the noise and men outside the windows. I suspect the work will be done before the next guests arrive as it was winding down when we left.

So happy with our stay

It was our first time visiting London and we were so happy to have chosen this unit. First of all, it was very comfortable, with plenty of room for our family. We loved the Notting Hill neighborhood. Refreshing stay in quiet Kensington

This flat in quiet Kensington was the perfect location for our week long stay in London. Conveniently located by several tube stations, fabulous neighborhood restaurants, and a short walk from Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park made the neighborhood full of things to see and do! The flat had all the amenities we needed to not just be on vacation, but feel like we really lived there. It was extremely comfortable, the neighbors are all very lovely, and the restaurants surrounding the flat were incredible! We will absolutely be staying again the next time we visit.

A perfect "pied-a-terre" for exploring Kensington, Notting Hill, and beyond. The flat is perefectly proportioned and well designed and feels clean trendy and modern. It sits on a lovely street with no dodgy bits what so ever. I have been staying in Notting Hill and Kensington regulalry for 25 years, and this is my new favourite. Beautiful flat close to everything

My family of three had a wonderful stay. The arrival was lovely as we arranged for the recommended airport pickup and were greeted by Rosie upon arrival. The flat is beautiful and spacious, our 11 year old loved the fold out couch for sleeping and we were provided with everyone we needed. The neighborhood and flat were a quiet respite in a busy city, but close to everything with easy access to multiple Tube stations and shopping on Kensington High Street. We enjoyed coming back after a busy day and having drinks on the balcony. Communication with the host was excellent and we would be happy to stay here again next time we're in London.

Perfect London Flat

From start to finish the experience was everything you could hope for. I was met by Patricia and she was kind enough to facilitate an early arrival. The flat is as pictured with tons of natural light pouring in from the windows in both the living area and dining rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need and more. The bathroom was spotless and very modern. The location couldn't be better and is located within walking distance of two major tube stations and more than a few bus stops. We took the recommendations for the restaurants and loved both Core and the very English pub with a twist, Churchhill Arms. This property would absolutely be our first choice in London.

Delightful, quiet, and perfect for small families

From pickup at the airport, to check-in (Rosie met us at the door), to our four days in the flat, this was a 5 star experience. It's a quiet and absolutely stunning street of white row houses -- walkable to tons of shops/restaurants (Nottinghill and Kensington/High Street). Also walkable to two parks (Kensington Garden and Holland Park, both of which have great playgrounds for kids). We took the Tube and Hop-On Hop-Off buses during our stay with our boys (ages 9 and 7) -- both were easy ways to commute from the flat to the tourist sites. It was absolutely lovely to retreat back to this neighborhood at the end of the day of touring to rest as a family (something that really was necessary given the ages of our kids). The flat includes two large, comfortable beds (the sofa bed is excellent quality), a sizable kitchenette, a modern bathroom, and a lovely balcony for coffee in the morning or wine at night. Photos on the site accurately depict the space. Hosts are very responsive and easy to work with. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful retreat in a lovely part of London, do not hesitate to book this flat. We will be back!

I do not know if you managed to take the little ones to Kensington Gardens and the Diana Playground themed around Peter Pan. This is a place that my granddaughters absolutely love and then there are the rowing boats that everyone can rent out and to be enjoyed on the Serpentine (Hyde Park), only minutes from the flat. If you have not done it, it's one more reason to come back. See you soon.
