My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We really enjoyed our stay! It is a beautiful, peaceful place, and Patsy is a great host. The water pressure in the shower is excellent. We didn't cook, but we really appreciated having a normal fridge and freezer instead of a mini-fridge. I want to go back one day amd explore the area more, because we didn't have time to hike. The house is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views from every window.
If you’re needing peace and quiet this is your place. This quaint, vintage and restful cozy spot in a valley with fields and horses is a delightful vacation away.
I totally enjoyed myself
Cozy, but nice size for two of us. Duplex, but very quiet. Owner is adjacent unit. Nice setting, close to town and relatively close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Did not stay long, so did not explore the property. Onsite parking.
My daughter, great grandson and I had a very wonderful weekend. Very peaceful, beautiful location. Everything was as described. Patsy was a very gracious host. Will definitely be back for a longer visit.
Such a peaceful place! It is really beautiful and we enjoyed our stay though two days went by fast. Loved sitting by the creek and enjoy the serenity. The cottage was neat and clean and the bed very comfortable. We thought Patsy was a wonderful host and just a great person. My husband probably talked her ears off as I know he had a million Questions for her about the area and her interesting stories. We would definately like to stay again and I would recommend this lovely place. Thank you Patsy for being a great hostess and we consider you a new friend! Take care of yourself and we hpoe to see you again. Cecilia and Roger Thomas
Patsy's cottage is a perfect place to stay in the mountains, nestled at the foot (literally) of a small mountain. It's hard to beat for solitude and serenity at a fantastic price.
Great place for our Thanksgiving getaway. Located just a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway and about an hour from Boone, this little cottage offers a lot of charm and was the quiet getaway we all wanted. After we cooked and ate our full turkey dinner, we walked it off at Crabtree Falls (BRP mi 339.5), just 20 minutes away. We love the outdoors and took advantage of walking alongside the creek that surrounds the cottage too. Patsy, the owner was very responsive and a delight to interact with.
Thanks for a great stay, Patsy!

Love it!
We spent the Labor Day weekend here and we loved it. The location is very nice and quiet and the cottage is clean and equipped with pretty much everything. The AC was a little noisy but we turned it off because during the night it was cool outside
