About this property

Two luxurious cottages ideal for friends/family with heated private indoor pool

These two luxurious barn conversions are located in an idyllic farmhouse setting they are booked together and will have exclusive use of our Indoor Heated Pool. Both cottages feature luxury bathrooms and kitchens enabling both groups to have some privacy but equally lovely to be able to share the garden and the pool. Beds can be made up as singles or super-kings we can also offer Birdwatching trips cycling trips, and bike hire.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in these two stylish, well equipped and very comfortable cottages. They were perfect for our small family with a baby, toddler and grandmother in tow - plenty of space for us to spend time together and have privacy when needed. The garden, orchard and meadow were lovely for exploring - and having exclusive use of the very well kept pool was such a treat. Our hosts Kay and Graeme were very welcoming and gave prompt, helpful advice on places to go etc that were tailored to the needs of our little ones in the run up to our stay. Their recommendations for places to eat never failed. It really helped to make our stay as relaxed and smooth as possible. The new Poplar Farm outpost / larder was very handy to pick up essentials,cakes and delicious heat at home meals just a few hundred yards down the road too when we didn’t feel like cooking or eating out. We hope to come back again soon!"

Fantastic peaceful getaway

Great place to stay. We particularly wanted somewhere with a pool and the pool itself is fantastic and so brilliant to have it all to ourselves. The location is quiet and peaceful. We'd definitely visit again

Great Property and Hosts

We stayed during the end of November, the property is very well presented, the pictures do not do it justice, very cosy and equipped with everything you would need for a self catering stay. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, accommodating our stay perfectly. We felt very at home and could have easily stayed longer.

Spring Break in Somerset

The two properties are cosy and very well equipped ideal for large family or friends as you can have your own space and also come together The swimming pool is an added bonus the boys loved it as did the adults The setting is excellent quiet and tranquil Well located for Wells and other attractions localy Wedmore is a hidden gem We will be back!

Fantastic Getaway

Our family enjoyed such a lovely time at the cottages, modern open plan with beautiful surroundings. We loved the pool and the beautifully kept gardens and orchards. Kay and her husband were so helpful throughout our stay. Hope to stay here again. Highly recommended!!

Had an amazing holiday with my family, the kids loved the pool and the hosts were so helpful and friendly. My daughter especially loved the morning visits from their gorgeous dog that was so friendly. My children kept asking if we could go back.

Properties were perfect . Plenty of room for the kids to run around. Pool was the highlight of the holiday. Graham and Kay were always on hand if we needed them but never intrusive. Plenty of places to visit within half hour . Thank you for lovely stay

Beautiful setting

My husband and myself took our children and grandchildren to stay here for the week. The owners greeted us and showed us around on arrival, both were informative and welcoming, the cottages were clean and comfortable, the pool was lovely and warm we spent hours a day in there, the gardens were lovely and we enjoyed exploring them. The owners dog was lovely! Came over to see us all the time, such a lovely girl

Just a wonderful time. The cottages allowed the grandparents to stay with us and Graeme and Kay were so welcoming and accomodating. The pool is fantastic. We went to the Cheddar Gorge and Bath. Fabulous and many happy memories.

Perfect Getaway with the kids!

Just got back from a lovely 5 night stay with three adults and two young children. Having the separate property for the grandparent was great so they could get a good night sleep without being woken up by the little ones! The pool was the highlight, clean, warm and private. We loved it. The shallow end is quite deep so armbands needed for non swimmers. The grounds were beautiful and the kids enjoyed having so much space to run around. Great location, lovely hosts, highly recommended!

Lovely comfortable peaceful place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were ranging in age from 21 to 82 and all had a lovely time. Having the 2 cottages made it comfortable and private, as well as having enough shared space in either to relax with each other! The pool was wonderful. We made plenty of use it! Very warm too. Lovely private patios and pretty gardens; enjoyed fruit from the orchard. The hosts were kind and helpful. It is a great big THANK YOU from the Iles / Binns family for a fantastic few days. Property highly recommended! ⭐

The two houses were comfortable, attractive and stylish, in a lovely setting. The pool was amazing, warm and attractive, a pleasure to swim in. The grandchildren, 7 and 12, stayed in for hours. The 7 year old started to swim properly for the first time. We had a good trip to Cheddar Gorge, where we climbed a path through woods and then a walk down a path to Cheddar. Our hosts, Kay and Graeme were kind and helpful. Thank you to them, and we hope to come again. Sue, Richard, Rosalind, Chad, Robin, Helena and Toby.

Relaxing family break in Somerset

An excellent holiday from start to finish. The two cottages were great for ourselves and our daughter’s family. They had everything we needed. Our granddaughters 5 and 7 loved the pool and would have spent the whole week there. It was also good for them to be able to play in the field and watch the rabbits, squirrels and birds. We did manage to persuade them to visit Longleat which they also enjoyed. Although Kay was on holiday she had everything sorted for our arrival and kept in touch to ensure we had everything we needed. We were pleased to manage a quick hello as she arrived home. We would highly recommend a holiday here.

My husband and I, and our 4 children, aged between 5 and 13 have had a lovely week at these two cottages. Having our own pool was the highlight of the week for the children and the huge outdoor space where the children could play safely was perfect.Both Kay and Graeme were very friendly and hospitable.Having the separate cottage worked well for my 13 year old son as he brought his play station along so was able to have a couple of hours of his own time.We walked to the local village, Wedmore, which was about 1.6 miles away. The pubs were really nice, our favourite being The Swan. The George was really nice to as managed to get the football on for my son one evening. Everybody is really friendly. The children already miss Lily the resident dog. She popped along from time to time to come and say hello and have a stroke.Overall we would highly recommend this place as it’s great for the whole family

The houses are beautiful not as clean as we thought but satisfactory the pool Was our issue it was cloudy and dirty now our lads loved it but one kept saying why can't we see the bottom is it dirty he is autistic so this was becoming an issue we went in twice The hoists was lovely friendly and there if you need them the windows on the pool was really dirty and cob webs round the pool just felt like this spoilt the whole pool experience Other than that I think these two cottages are beautiful and is ideal For a large family to go away

Family getaway

We arranged a few nights to spend some time away with our 2 sons and their girlfriends. We had the small cottage and they shared the larger one. It was ideal, we could spend time together but not on top of each other. The cottages were very well equipped, especially as we took turns cooking for each other. The pool was great, it would have been better if we could have used it into the evening but we were asked not to use it after 7pm. Considering the youngsters are all in their twenties, they would have liked a little longer. We used the cottages as a base for visiting Weston-Super-Mare and Cheddar Gorge, which the boys loved in their sports cars! There was plenty of parking at the property for use to bring a car per couple. The accommodation was clean and modern, and reasonably private. Everything we could have wanted…

Family friendly rural haven

We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay when we visited in early September. It is perfect for families; we took the larger cottage with our two young children, while their grandparents were delighted with the neighbouring cottage. The setting is idyllic-the gardens and grounds are clearly lovingly looked after. We found the accommodation to be ideal- comfortable, modern, spacious, light, clean, and well-equipped with good quality appliances and lovely underfloor heating. We enjoyed exclusive access to the pool which is warm, clean and well maintained. We used it daily and the children spent many happy hours swimming and playing with us in the water. Kay and Graeme really are the perfect hosts; they are genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful, always ready with a friendly greeting and plenty of top tips on places to visit, but also relaxed and never in the least intrusive. Their lovely and super friendly spaniel Lily was also a total highlight for the children. The area is beautiful; we enjoyed walks on the surrounding quiet lanes and nearby Wedmore is charming, with several nice places to eat. In particular we all loved the micro dairy, recommended by Graeme, just a short walk away. We would highly recommend a stay here- it’s a family friendly rural haven.

Prachtig huis op een goede locatie.

Huis van alle gemakken voorzien. Op een locatie waar je van alles kan doen. Een goed groot privé zwembad. De eigenaren proberen je echt in de watten te leggen.
