Hillside cottage is set on the owners working dairy farm and has been renovated to a very good standard in 2020, an ideal getaway for friends or family alike wanting to explore the Shropshire countryside. The property is situated 1½ miles from Malpas, and the historic city of Chester, with its famous races and excellent selection of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 18 miles away. Other places worth visiting, within easy driving distance, include Chester Zoo, 28 miles, Blue Planet Aquarium, 30 miles and Beeston Castle, 18 miles. Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are 12 miles and Delamere Forest, with its ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park, is 20 miles away. North Wales is also very accessible from here, and the popular beach resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre are all within an hour’s drive. The town of Wrexham is 10 miles from the property, you are pretty central at this property to travel throughout England or Wales. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 2½ miles.

The location was very peaceful, I expected more noise being on a working farm.
The location was very peaceful, I expected more noise being on a working farm. The cottage was warm and well equiped and the owners very welcoming.you need a vehicle to access the shops etc. but Chester, Llangollen, Nantwich were all within a 30-40 minute drive.

Beautifully kept cottage right in the middle of the dairy farm with everything well stocked for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Pleasant location near the Wales -England border with scenic views just a short walking distance away. Handy for short day trips to Llangollen , Bala, Pontcysyllte , Chester and the Wirral coast . No immediate local amenities but Whitchurch just 10 minutes drive away with Aldi, Tescos and a mini-Morrisons for shopping etc .
