Perfect in every way
Philip and Gil made our stay special they are the perfect hosts. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and just right for our needs. Afternoon tea was everything you could want and more. Also the Indian meal we had was delicious.

The Old Hall family made us feel like family
Attention to detail is amazing throughout there if needed but not invasive
We must mention our guide Hector who was the most friendly dog
Then the rest of the animal family who we loved
A thank you to the chickens for the most tasty eggs
The only problem we could mention is we did not stay longer
We will be back

Relaxed and peaceful with great company.
It was the first time that we visited such a location as we tend to go abroad a lot. Old Country Hall was a refreshing and beautiful location with great service and great company from all. The service and the animals were all so sweet, hospitable and friendly.
What impressed me the most was Old Country Hall had thought of all the process, from the onboarding, your stay and the exit.
The team were helpful to ensure we enjoyed their premises and Norfolk. I could not ask for more.

Luxory accommodation in a Tudor Manor set the the countryside
Five star accommodation set in beautiful grounds. The hosts were extremely helpful and it was pleasant to have a log burner for the cold evenings when we ate in. East in options are available brought to the accommodation and we had an excellent Thai. If you like chickens, they have an amazing variety.

Beautifully overwhelmed.
I can honestly say, this was an absolute dream destination to stay. Our hosts were super helpful and offered so many ideas for places to visit and dine out. They offer so many wonderful services to help make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. The accommodation was incredible, fantastic design, spotlessly clean and the eye for detail with regards to the interior design was flawless. I can’t recommend Old hall country breaks enough. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous stay, we absolutely loved it.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Gil who made sure during our stay we had plenty of information on what there is to do in the area. We stayed in the east wing, which we found extremely comfortable. The kitchenette is well equipped if you wish to cook, perfect for our stay. The air bath was amazing! It was lovely feeding the animals at Old Hall, could’ve watched the chickens for hours. We will definitely come back & stay in the east wing again.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. A five star experience.
Our accommodation was very for comfortable with everything you needed. Nothing was too much trouble if we had any questions Gil was there to help. We ordered the breakfast hamper which was great with local produce. We also had delivered the Thai meal which again we highly recommend. What was nice about that when we came back from our day out and the dining table had been laid for our evening meal along with fresh flowers. A lovely touch.

About the host
Hosted by Host
Old Hall is a Tudor manor house, built in 1553 and its character reflects its great age. The walls are thick, the beams are even older than the house (they came from sailing ships) and the place oozes charm and history.
Gil and Philip are very thoughtful hosts who give exceptional time and attention to their home and to meeting the needs of their guests. From sourcing and booking restaurants and trips, planning beach huts, picnics or afternoon tea for guests, or setting up games in the garden. Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts.
We like to ensure that our guests fully participate (if they want to) in the Old Hall experience by giving treats to the donkeys, collecting eggs from the hens, cycling (bikes provided) round the quiet country lanes or lazing in a hammock listening to the donkeys munch away at their pasture.
