This was just the most lovely cottage - incredible bed linen and comfy beds and the welcome for dogs was lovely! Walks and runs locally take through winding paths to the beach and everything is so close. We went riding on Ryde beach - miles of gallops (though a bit of a trek on the road to get there so not for beginners)

Thank you so much for your kind review. Greatly appreciated.
We booked this IOW Half term week with three generations postponed from Covid. The cottage location is great in the beautiful village of Bembridge. Parking for 1 out front.
The sleeping accommodation was great with a lovely sized master bedroom. There were six of us and a dog. The garden is small but enclosed so the woof was secure. We chose this property because of its downstairs bedroom and bathroom for Granddad. The living space is too small for the advertised 8 capacity though. There are two ‘3’ seater sofas in the lounge, the kind with two cushions so the third has to sit on the crack, so evening TV watching was split between the sofas and dinning table whose chairs need repairing.
The kitchen is small, and although the cabinets could do with an update, was well stocked with appliances and equipment including a dishwasher. Nice touches of supplying dishwasher tablets, washing pods and tea and coffee. Work surfaces were clean but sticky from a yacht varnish protection. Cooked most nights successfully.
Although the property has ‘two’ bathrooms; one is a small downstairs shower and the main upstairs bathroom has a bath without shower curtain and only a handheld shower attachment pressure of which meant it couldn’t be used successfully.
Lots of reminiscing for our 84 year old dad who holidayed on the isle frequently with his late wife. Fabulous weather we couldn’t have asked for more. Justine our host was amazing dealing with some initial teething issues.

Thank you for your review, the property is advertised for 6 guests only, the owners sleep 8 / 9.
On arrival we found that the grass had not been cut weeds/brambles everywhere. Windows dirty. No parking space. Owner although very nice did not seem willing to sort out the problems but Justine was very prompt in doing so. We felt the place was very expensive for what it provided and compared to other rental properties - ie National Trust. Also there is no aerial for the TV so no BBC programmes and we had to ask for the TV to be reprogrammed so we could at least watch ITV instead of Hot-rod American rubbish. However thanks to glorious weather all week we had a lovely time and feasted on seafood (The Best Dressed Lobster on the harbour front) - also do try the curry at The Old Vine Inn up in the village!
We had a wonderfully relaxed holiday in the cottage, which was very comfortable. Our party was made up of two grandparents, parents and boys of 11 & 8 and a small dog. There was plenty of space and the master bedroom is particularly comfortable with lovely views. We always received prompt response from Justine who manages the property. The location is excellent, being within walking distance of the Village and the beach. We thoroughly recommend it.
The cottage is in a great location, easy walking distance to both the village and the sea.
Very comfortable accommodation; we very much enjoyed our stay and with a few minor adjustments the property, for me , would reach the overall top rating..
