Location
The beautiful hillside house with greenery all around makes for a great accommodation choice in Ghiffa, about 4 kilometers from the lake. It is quite close to Nature Reserves which spreads in about 200 hectares. The house’s proximity to the nature park with its beautiful mountain terrains and spiritual sanctuaries is one of the great things about staying here. A number of events are also organised at the monumental baroque complex of the sanctuary dedicated to the Holi Trinity, three chapels and a portico of the Way of the Cross. A short drive from the house takes one to restaurants, shops and the town center of Ghiffa. The town is known for its many churches, beautiful lake views and a unique Museum of Hats. The lake offers opportunities to enjoy sailing, windsurfing and diving. The famous Villa Taranto with its beautiful botanical gardens on the shore of Lake Maggiore is hardly 15 minutes\' drive from the house.

A cosy and quiet villa close to the lake with a beautiful garden.

A wonderful villa with a magnificent view. Great garden. Plenty of space to spend time in the house. The villa is very cozy and comfortable. Everything you need is available. Located close to the lake and many attractions. Nearby there are good restaurants and one of the best cocktail bars in Italy. The house is in a very quiet location. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely come again. We had a marvelous time!! Thanks a lot!

Ein großes Haus , welches durch die Haushälterin sehr sauber übergeben wurde, die gesamte Einrichtung ist nicht mehr neu, es sind ältere Möbel, dies sieht man ja auf den Bildern.Wir sind mit 5 Personen gereist, das Pllatzangebot ist mehr als ausreichend.Es gibt 1 Küche und 3 Räume mit jeweils 2 Schlafmöglichkeiten.Die Haushälterin wohnt im Haus in einer separaten Wohnung.Die 3Bäder könnten eine Erneuerung vertragen, Duschen geht nur in einer Badewanne.Ansonsten ein wunderschönes Grundstück auf dem separat der Hund der Haushälterin lebt, welcher jedoch keinerlei Probleme macht( wir waren mit 2 kleinen Chihuahua vor Ort), hat super geklappt.

Wir kommen leider nicht wieder

Positiv:- großer ordentlicher Garten- 3 Badezimmer, viele große Räume- Handtücher vorhanden (allerdings sehr hart)- Sauberkeit war gutNegativ:Die Haushälterin!!! Diese wohnt im Erdgeschoss in ihrer Wohnung. Der ganze Flur riecht nach ihrem Zigarettenrauch und zieht hoch.Sie kann ausschließlich Italienisch, was die Kommunikation stark erschwert. Am letzten Tag wollte sie uns zwingen selbst zu saugen, weil noch ein paar Hundehaarknäule am Boden lagen. Da wir uns weigerten, weil wir zum einen keine Putzsachen in der Wohnung vorfinden konnten und zum anderen die Endreinigung bezahlt hatten und beide Hunde und die Katze angemeldet waren, wollte sie die Polizei rufen. Zum Glück erreichten wir Happy Holidays und diese klärten alles zu unseren Gunsten. Jedoch verloren wir eine Stunde Fahrtzeit. Außerdem ging sie schon um 9.30 Uhr in unsere Wohnung obwohl erst 10.00 Uhr Checkout war. Die Wohnung war stark abgewöhnt. Dort wurde früher auch geraucht, da die Wände gelblich verfärbt war. Die letzten beiden Tage unseres Aufenthaltes waren die Heizungen aus und dementsprechend kalt in der Wohnung.Die Hündin der Haushälterin lebt in einem Gehege auf dem Grundstück und nachts in der Garage. Die Schnauze kommt durch die Gitterstäbe durch. Manchmal ist sie auch frei im Garten. Sie ist freundlich und hat sich mit unseren Hunden verstanden. Allerdings hinterlässt sie auch mal Haufen im Garten. Keine Lago Aussicht. Höchstens ein Ministück.Wohnung ist auf 1. Und 2. OG verteilt.

Zigarettenrauch hat uns den Aufenthalt beeinträchtigt

Im Vorfeld hatten wir der Agentur eine späte Ankunft angekündigt aber die kettenrauchende Haushälterin die zwar ausgesprochen freundlich war und im Untergeschoss wohnt war nicht informiert und spricht wirklich nur italienisch sonst keine Verständigung möglich. Das Hauptproblem ist der stete Zigarettengeruch der in der Wohnung hängt und über den Hausflur und die Fenster im UG hochkommen. Die früheren Eigentümer müssen auch starke Raucher gewesen sein. Das hat uns den Aufenthalt wirklich vermiest. Wir haben versucht das beste draus zu machen. Letztlich konnte die Haushälterin, die uns mit Obst und Aufstrich beschenkte an dieser Situation aber auch nichts ändern. Es verwundert das keine Rezession vorher zum Rauchen etwas sagt. Wer jedenfalls mit Rauch in der FeWo ein Problem hat sollte die Finger von dieser Unterkunft lassen. Die Ausstattung bedarf auch einer dringenden Renovierung. Der Charme der alten Möbel ist ja ganz nett und die Wohnung ist wirklich groß mit 3 Balkonen und 3 Bädern und 1 nicht 2 Küchen aber es ist stark abgewohnt und sieht nicht mehr aus wie auf den Fotos. Ich würde niemals nochmals dort buchen.

Das WLAN ist eine Katastrophe: Das Signal sehr schwach und teilweise null Signal. Behebbar durch Einsatz von Repeater. Das Zimmer im 2. Stock ist nicht akzeptabel: Beide Betten sind mit Stahlfederrosten und Federkernmatratzen ausgestattet. Bei diesem Zimmer sind durch fehlende Rollos oder Innenrollos eine Verdunkelung zur Temperatur Reduzierung nicht möglich. Ein Spiegel im 2.Stock wäre hilfreich. Eine Kommunikation mit FEWO war nicht möglich, da auf beiden Handynummern nur die Mailbox ansprang. Die Größe des Hauses war ideal mit sehr schönem Garten.

Idyllisches Ferienhaus mit wunderschönem Garten.

Dieses idyllische Ferienhaus liegt oberhalb des Lago Maggiore und hat einen wunderschönen großen Garten. Das Haus ist großzügig geschnitten und bietet viel Platz. Es war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Es gibt 3 Bäder welche großzügig mit Handtüchern ausgestattet waren. Auch sind beide Küchen mit allen Geräten ausgestattet, die man im Urlaub so braucht (Kühlschrank, Herd, Wasserkocher, Toaster, Geschirrspülmaschine,..) und alles hat super funktioniert. Die Einrichtung besteht zum Teil aus antiken Holzmöbeln, was jedoch den Charme dieses Ferienhauses ausmacht. Es gibt 3 große Balkone, alle ausgestattet mit Tisch und Stühlen und zum Teil Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore. Der Garten ist sehr schön und lädt zum Verweilen und zum Grillen ein. Dies haben wir bei wunderschönem Wetter sehr genossen. Das Ferienhaus liegt in sehr grüner und ruhiger Lage. Man kommt jedoch gut überall hin und kann viele Ausflüge unternehmen. In der Nähe liegen gleich die Borromäischen Inseln, welche man mit dem Ausflugsboot sehr schnell und unkompliziert erreicht. Die Hausverwalterin war sehr, sehr nett und wohnt in einer kleinen eigenen Wohnung mit im Haus. Sie hat uns sehr freundlich willkommen geheißen, uns immer mal wieder mit frischem Gemüse aus dem Garten oder selbst gebackenem Kuchen verwöhnt, sich jedoch sonst dezent im Hintergrund gehalten und wir haben sie gar nicht mitbekommen. Wir waren 6 Personen und hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
