Townhouse Aqua Maris is a traditional Algarvian home, thoughtfully adapted to offer comfort and practicality in the heart of Tavira. Located just steps from the Gilão River and close to some of the region’s most iconic beaches, the property spans three floors and is ideal for families or small groups looking to explore the Eastern Algarve.



With a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with showers, the house offers a practical layout:

On the first floor, there is one double bedroom with en suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The open plan living room and kitchen provide a cosy and functional space, with access to a balcony overlooking the historic centre. This floor also includes a laundry area.

The second floor features three more bedrooms, including a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, and a single bedroom, along with another shared bathroom.

The third floor offers a rooftop terrace with panoramic views over the city and a barbecue area, perfect for outdoor meals and relaxing moments.



Just a short walk from Tavira Castle, the ferries to Tavira Island, and the beaches of Terra Estreita and Barril, Townhouse Aqua Maris is the perfect blend of Algarvian authenticity, comfort, and a prime location.



If your flights are already booked or your dates are fixed and do not match the property's changeover day, please send us an inquiry before booking to confirm if your dates can be accommodated.



This property is self-catered. For your convenience, welcome food baskets can be booked in advance (additional cost).



Renting a car is not essential for your stay, given the property’s location. However, if you wish, we will be happy to assist with the car rental. We can also arrange transfers if needed.



Group deposit: € 150 per guest (payment by credit/debit card).

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please take all trash to the public waste containers daily and before check-out. We appreciate your cooperation and care for the property.
Please return the keys to the lockbox before leaving. Ensure it is fully closed and the code scrambled. We appreciate your cooperation.
Before leaving, please turn off all lights, A/C units and non-essential equipment. Thank you for supporting energy sustainability.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Minimum/multiples 7 night stay & Changeover day is on Saturday, however this may be flexible in low season.

Beautiful home in the heart of Tavira

Townhouse Aqua-Maris is everything you could ask for in a holiday home, spacious, modern and ideally located. The open-plan kitchen and living area felt very welcoming, and the air conditioning throughout the house was much appreciated. Each room was thoughtfully furnished, and the rooftop terrace provided amazing views of the town. Perfect spot for exploring Tavira and the nearby beaches.

Excellent location and ideal for large groups

Our stay at Aqua-Maris was fantastic. The house is beautifully renovated and very comfortable for a large family or group. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the rooftop terrace was our favourite spot, perfect for enjoying sunset dinners. The location couldn’t be better, right in the centre of Tavira, close to the river, restaurants and ferry to the beach. We didn’t need a car at all. Highly recommended!

Spacious, modern and with a stunning terrace

We had a wonderful time in Tavira, and Aqua-Maris was the perfect base. The house is large, clean and extremely well equipped. We loved having multiple bathrooms, which made everything easier with a big group. The rooftop terrace with a barbecue and fridge was such a bonus, we had many memorable meals up there. Being able to walk everywhere was a real plus. Would definitely come back.

Great Location

The location was great. Unfortunately there was only one comfortable (two person) couch. The plumbing was a real problem, one of the bathrooms had a plugged toilet when we arrived. The problem was dealt with quickly - thank you. After it was cleared we chose not to use it. A smell endured from that bathroom for the remainder of our stay.

Great location and place!

If you are looking for a very central place in Tavira, close to great restaurants, tourist attractions and the ferry to take you to Tavira Island, this place can't be beat! The place was wonderful as well and had enough room for our group of 9.
