First of all, the apartment has a wonderful location - right next to the Duomo and walking distance to major attractions. It is clean and cozy, and the roof terrace in the middle of the rooftops adds to the quaint Italian experience. Two queen beds and one foldout queen sofa bed could accommodate up to 6 people. Located on a busy shopping street, it's a shoppers paradise at your doorstep. The noise from the street below continues into the night, but can be easily shut out by the bedroom windows. The blackout curtains are a nice touch if you wanted to sleep in.However, the trek of 90 steps up to the apartment can be daunting, especially if you have heavy luggage. There were a few minor inconveniences in the apartment for a family stay that could have been easily rectified - no toilet roll holder, no towel rack or hooks, no shelf/caddy for shampoo and soap, no coffee or basic condiments, no clothes detergent, and the washing machine was oddly installed so that you could not pour detergent in the pullout but had to place it directly in the drum. We finally found a small clothes rack on the terrace. The water in the shower drained very slowly so we had to take care not to let the water flow out of the shower area. These issues are not deal breakers, but added to the inconveniences for a family of 5.Overall, clean and comfortable, but the inconveniences caused some frustration. If the above issues are addressed, it would make for a much more comfortable and pleasant stay.
