Classy Apartment with Roof Terrace steps from Rialto
The Querini is a spacious and tasteful apartment strategically located only 2 minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and 5 minutes’ walk from San Marco Square.
The big plus of this apartment, beside the great location and the quality of the accommodation, is the large wooden roof-top terrace, the so called Altana, where you can dine open-air, have a drink or just sunbathe.
The Querini is a second-floor apartment of about 120 square meters, recently renovated and smartly furnished to please the most demanding guests. Walking in the entrance room you immediately understand that this is a real home, not an impersonal tourist accommodation. In fact, the spacious and cozy living room furnished with beautiful antiques easily communicates with a very functional and airy kitchen, equipped with every possible amenity (except the oven!). The canal view enjoyable from the living room and kitchen windows is not particularly open but picturesque.
The sleeping area on the back of the house is accessible through a corridor from the living room, thus very quiet, and is composed of two big bedrooms and two brand new and well-appointed mosaic tiled bathrooms. The mattresses are truly comfortable (1 king size and 2 singles that can be used also as double) and there is plenty of closet and storage space. The terrace is easily accessible from one of the bedrooms through a short staircase (about 10 steps) and it is furnished with a table, 4 chairs and 2 sun chairs.
Appliances include air-conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi internet connection, TV, DVD player, washing machine, dishwasher, four burners stove, fridge and freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, hairdryer, etc. We suggest the Querini to couples, group of friends or families, be it for romantic escapes or long-term stays, you won't be disappointed!
About the strategic location: being on the border of the San Marco District allows you to easily reach public transports and main landmarks, while being on the border of the Castello and Cannaregio Districts enables you to experience a non-touristy and slow-paced holiday, still finding supermarkets, local shops, cafés and restaurants just around the corner.
Some of the less known but spectacular tourist attractions in the vicinity are the nearby Chiesa dei Miracoli, Basilica Santi Giovanni e Paolo (perfect for a coffee on the stunning square), and Campo Santa Maria Formosa whit its prestigious historic Palazzos. The surroundings are an infinite source of inspiration, on every bridge or Fondamenta the view is truly Venetian.

Us traveling couples really enjoyed our stay here. It wasn’t a good location for us. Really close to Rialto Bridge. We enjoyed all the different little spots that we explored. And after a long day, enjoyed our time in the apartment with a beverage and the air conditioning.
We really liked to stay in this apartment. It was very well equipped, there was a lot of space for the three of us and the agency could always be contacted, answered immediately and was absolutely helpful.
A special pleasure was the "Altana", where we could sit in the evening enjoying our "Spritz" before leaving for dinner.
We are loking forward to coming again!
Lots of space and light. Amazingly quiet and shiny clean. Beds very comfortable and bed linens deliciously soft and clean. Lovely homey touches, very thoughtful. Everything worked. We really appreciated the washing machine. The host was kind, available and easy to communicate with. She met us at the water taxi drop-off and brought us to the place. We would stay here again. Great location in Venice!
We had stayed in this comfortable and spacious apartment last year and now enjoyed coming back in 2024.
Contact with the agency is really excellent and so is the equipment of the flat. We really felt at home there!
Again it was a nice experience. Thanks a lot!

The apartment was lovely, clean, spacious and located perfectly. Communication with management was great, the even arranged a water taxi and porter for our luggage the morning we left. Tracey and Apple were the best ! The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the rooftop space, we visited in July so it was hot and there was no shade cover to enjoy the rooftop. The addition of shade cover and maybe some plants would definitely make it more appealing. Otherwise this was a very nice apartment and we enjoyed our stay !

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
key feature of roof terrace a big disappointment
The location was good but the entrance and two flights of stairs was not a classy first impression.
The decor inside was nice and the beds and bathrooms clean and comfortable.
The plumbing problem was attended to in the agreed time frame.
Our main disappointment was the totally neglected roof terrace. We only used it for drying clothes.
It was a key reason for our choosing this flat and was not at all like the pictures - in short
- access was difficult and impossible for my husband
- there were no pads or sun beds as shown in picture on the listing - we felt short changed.
Lovely apartment! Just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, near the best Gelateria we tried in Venice (Suso), also near a small supermarket, but far enough away that one walking at night you could get lost in the alleyways and marvel at the beautiful canals without feeling the oppressive tourist influence.I would gladly stay there again, though there were a few things that made me mark down one star. Check-in can be tricky if you don’t have cell service in Italy. Juggling two small kids, I did not do all I could have to communicate (my fault!), but their check-in process relies heavily on being able to communicate by phone. There is no central location to pick up the keys, someone must meet you.The main living room has a couch and several chairs, but none of them were comfortable to lounge on. The only other issue we came across was what to do with our garbage. There are no dedicated bins or anything like that and the instructions say to find out online where to drop off the garbage. Try as we might that was much harder to do than we had hoped. We got lucky, but that is not the greatest way so more instruction would be much appreciated.Despite any small inconveniences, we absolutely loved it there! The little roof deck surrounded by buildings was a little jewel at the end of the night. We could go up there and look at the stars and listen to the water splash in the nearby canals. We will miss our home away from home in Venice.
Wie immer eine faszinierende Stadt, die Ferienwohnung liegt perfekt und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Check in war perfekt, wir würden charmant vom vaporetto abgeholt und zur Wohnung begleitet.
