Although Nelson is out of the way, it is definitely worth the detour. We really enjoyed our VRBO, spent the day downtown walking about shopping and just enjoying the food and uniqueness .
Nelson was just as we had heard about.
The unit was perfect great location to explore the area. Close to an awesome bakery local walking trails, easy kayak launch beach, golf and shopping.
Sian was a very gracious host we would love to come back.
We had a lovely stay with our two young boys at this well appointed, modern suite in a family home. We had access to the hosts’ lakefront dock, kayak and paddle board which our boys enjoyed very much. Excellent stay, thanks so much!
A bit disappointed that the lakeside home didnt have a lakeside view. Also, the stairs down to the main living area are quite steep if you have difficulty with that. Nelson is a fun town to visit, so this worked for us.
Enjoyed our stay, only complaint there were no facecloths and no tea towels for drying dishes. No access to the water from the rental unit which is mentioned in the ad!

Apologies for the lack of tea towels.. give us a shout next time and we can pop some down. We don’t have private beach access but the public beach is a couple of minutes walk away. Thanks for choosing to stay with us!
The house was beautiful & clean. It was a nice location & close to all amenities! The house was lakeside but guests don’t have access to the lakefront which was fine but the outside area in the front just needed to have some privacy.

Thanks for the lovely review. Noted about the privacy at the front.. definitely something that I will work on!
Fabulous mountain get away! Comfortable, nicely decorated home with plenty of gathering areas for morning coffee, dinner indoors or outdoors, and great fire pit area for after dinner drinks under the twinkling lights! Beds and pillows comfy too. Short drive to town and 5 min from ski area. Great views in summer too! WiFi is spotty being in the mountains. Stop at store for condiments and seasonings as there are none. Otherwise all dishes, glasses and cookware you need. Perfect place for our group of 6 adults.
Excellent accommodations with a young family looking after us. Very accommodating the entire time. We spent Halloween, Remembrance Day, Christmas and New Years at the property. Decorations followed the holiday themes as the family adjusted the surroundings during our stay. Would highly recommend the suite and property owners to other potential guests. Hopefully we weren’t too much of a handful as guests and managed to make some new friends during our stay. Be sure to ask Sian if the resident deer in the front yard is attending his AA meetings….the holidays were difficult for him and he did unfortunately let the Christmas season get the better of him having fallen off the wagon several times in December.
It was perfect for staying close to Selkirk College as I was in town to visit my son with his Granny. Nice to have two bedrooms. The downside was that we brought e-bikes and were not allowed to store them inside the garage due to the owner's dog occupying it. Expensive bikes stayed out in the rain overnight with electronics getting wet. The owner was on site but never greeted us or offered a solution to the bike storage.
No cable TV. I did figure out from the notes left by the host how to 'cast to the TV' from my laptop but if you are not tech savvy or don't have another electronic device you would be out of luck. My mother in law gave up as it was not something an 88 year old who doesn't own a laptop could do.
It would be nice to have a bluetooth speaker or some way to play some music and also provide basic toiletries such as shampoo & soap or body wash. You will want to bring your own.
Otherwise it was a very nice stay, nicely appointed and roomy enough for a small family. We would stay there again.

Thank you for your honest review. Unfortunately we don’t have bike storage which is why it is not included in the listing. I always suggest checking with the hosts before you arrive if this is something you require. I’m sorry you had trouble with the tv and I would have been happy to help had I known. We try to give guests their space as not everyone wants to be bothered while they are away.
Toiletries are always provided and are under the sink in both bathrooms.
Thanks again for staying with us!
