Beautiful place, but stuffy

The hosts were great communicators by What’sApp. The apartment was beautiful and well located for our needs across the Arno from the main tourist attractions. I was dismayed to find out that they had no air conditioning to use during this, the hottest time of year. They did provide a fan by the end of the first day and another one on the second day when they brought a hot plate to help out with the stove not working. Except for basically saying Americans are unreasonable with our need for AC, everything was good from their end. I filter for AC, but three of our accommodations on this trip managed not to have it. Don’t open the windows because of the mosquitoes. I love Florence, so I’ll take the heat, but we could have cooked a bit to save cash and could have done a little more there if we could have felt refreshed. I love the apartment for other times of year if “you’re American and love AC.”
