We had a great week at Catherine’s cottage, which was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! The cottage is in the lovely village of Slapton Sands with a nice friendly Pub and a local shop all within walking distance!!We had our dog with us and had some nice walks around the village or trips to Dartmouth and Salcombe are all within easy driving distance! We hope to visit again in the future!
We had a lovely week staying at this property in Slapton. So clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed and more. We loved this pretty village which was not too busy even in August. Fantastic beaches nearby and great pub with food and beer garden. Sad to be home and wishing we were still there!!

Great guests and would love to host you all again!!
This was a lovely clean and well stocked property, which had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Mike the owner showed us around the property when we arrived, which was lovely. The village was very quaint and the village shop was run by very friendly ladies. Plenty to do and see in the area and would recommend the round robin tour which includes a steam train, riverboat and bus ride.

Traditional ground floor stone cottage. Clean. Cosmetically pleasing. Well equipped. Nice patio. Good Bed and bed linen.Bedrooms just big enough. Loads of hanging space and top notch hangers.Close covered parking.Hallway and bathroom built into the hillside and those two areas suffer damp when hot outside. Shock on arrival to discover washing machine is in a shared laundry timed only from 10 to 1600hrs. Got used to that though.Overall . Slapton is a great little village with two nearby pubs. Beach is 20 minutes.

The property is a barn conversion in the hillside and did suffer from condensation in the hallway and bathroom when the humidity was over 95% outside during the heat wave (An unusual weather condition). Our hot water and heating for the properties is powered by Electricity via Solar where possible so we limit the use of our 2 washing machines housed in a dedicated laundry room to 6 hours a day. This is sufficient for at least a couple of washes a day. Alyson has booked to stay at our property again in September 2026.
