We had a lovely stay at Ammonite Cottage. It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed comfy beds, excellent WiFi and a superb welcome package! We were blessed with a couple of warm autumn days and made use of the Cinder Track to walk into Whitby, which was very pleasant. We liked the quiet location of the cottage just outside of the very busy Whitby town centre, and easy parking next to the cottage was a bonus. We didn't want to leave!

This cottage is just perfect.
This cottage is just perfect. The owners have thought of absolutely everything and also a lovely gift pack on arrival which was a special touch. Our dog loved the treats too. Beautiful views out of the front and back and a 20 minute walk across the viaduct into Whitby town. We had the best long weekend here and we are looking forward to booking another stay here.

What an amazing place to have Christmas! Everything was thought of including providing Christmas crackers, cake and Prosecco! Kitchen had lots of good quality pots/pans too and the whole house was a high specification. Location was great - nice and quiet but near enough to walk into Whitby in half an hour. I personally loved the pre printed maps for local walks, everything was thought of. Thank you so much for making our Christmas so special!

My husband and I, had a fab holiday in Ammonite Cottage in Sept 24. We are in our 60’s and enjoy walking and rambling so its location right next to the Cinder Track was ideal for us. We walked into Whitby daily and to The Windmill pub in the opposite direction. Cottage facilities were good. It was just a little pricey being out of season. Having said that, we chose to pay that price. Had there been6 Adults and 2 pets as opposed to just 2 Adults it would have seemed to be great £value.

This was our second time staying at Ammonite cottage.
This was our second time staying at Ammonite cottage. We have young children and a dog so we need a good base to live when away, Ammonite Cottage os perfect for us. The location is just just out of the town itself but sits on the Cinder track, we enjoyed walking along the Cinder track over the viaduct and into Whitby. Plenty of nice pubs to eat at in the surrounding area, and pubs that also allow dogs. The house itself has everything you need and truly is home from home. There is nothing I could think of that the house doesn't have, this makes life much easier when travelling with young children and a dog. A welcome basket on arrival is a really nice touch and thoroughly appreciated by us. We are already thinking about dates for next year to return to Ammonite.
