The ideal retreat for families, friends and couples, Carlill House flat 5 provides a comfortable home from home when holidaying on the coast.
The Space:
The Connell has everything you could need for a self-catering getaway in Whitby. The cosy living room features two comfy velvet sofas, as well as a TV with Freeview so the whole family can keep up with their favourite shows during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including cookware, utensils, dishes and cutlery. The perfect spot for enjoying meals with your loved ones, also sharing this space is the dining area.
The Connell has two bedrooms. The first bedroom features a king-size and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom has another king bed which can also be split into two singles. Please contact our friendly team prior to your stay to request for the bed to be split. Both rooms have crisp white bed linens and soft furnishings.
Head to the family bathroom where you’ll find a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and basin.

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
You will find nearby parking on-street or in local Pay & Display car parks.
The Neighborhood:
The Connell is located on Whitby sea front and the apartment is just a short walk from Skinner Street, Flowergate and the harbour so you’ll be perfectly placed for exploring the seaside town. The iconic Flowergate is one of the oldest and most historic streets in Whitby where you’ll find cosy cafes, restaurants and shops lining the street.
The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short 5-minute walk from the apartment. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.
The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
