We had a sister trip at this home. We enjoyed being together. Check in was easy. We had most of the things we needed for cooking. Paula was very helpful when we had a problem locking the door. Most of the beds were comfortable. We played scrabble inside one night and worked some jigsaw puzzles on the porch one rainy afternoon. We had a lot of rain.

Family vacation

We take an annual family vacation and this year chose Lake Guntersville. Property was very large and spacious. We did have issues with wasps when we arrived but the brave men in our group took care of them swiftly and easily!!! Waterfront was beautiful. Not the best neighborhood but was centrally located to restaurants, marinas and entertainment. We enjoyed it and would highly recommend!!

This house was great for my big family. There are plenty of things to do to keep the kids occupied...canoe, kayak, fishing, video games, pool table, and more. The house was super clean and had all the amenities we needed throughout our stay! Would definitely come back to this house in Guntersville!

Whole family enjoyed every minute!

The house was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The owner had so much for our family to do from canoeing, kayaking, fishing, playing ping pong, pool, poker, cards, xbox, playstation, or just relaxing to read books. This place had it all!

Charming lodge

We have stayed at this lodge multiple times and we will rent this place again. It is huge and it really will sleep 18-21 comfortably. The living room is also very big so there is a spot for everyone. There are two large tables in the dining room and there is every kind of kitchen gadget you will need so all you'll need to bring with you is the food. The walk down to the lake is nice and there is a brand new dock out there. The owner is very communicative and is very easy to get a hold of. If you are looking for a charming, quiet, getaway, this place is for you.

Really large spread out home!

If you’re looking for a lot of room to spread out, you found your place! There are two seperate wings with tons of space, lots of rooms and sleeping options. Also screened in porch which unfortunately we couldn’t really use as the pollen was really bad. There are lots of dining options too between the dining room and kitchen...lots of room for crafting too. Two large master suites make it really nice! Beautiful views driving around the area and great roads for riding motorcycles.

Great for families!!!

Had a good time at the house. Plenty of room for our extended family. Owner was easy to communicate with. Plenty of dishes and kitchen items. Having 2 fridges was awesome!!! There were a few negatives...but all minor stuff like it said online there was a waffle maker and either there wasn't one or we never found it. Also there were a lot of wasps outside but that's kind of par for the course for summer in the south. Still waiting on my deposit to be refunded a week later....but we lost a remote so I'm being patient.

Tons of space!

We had 4 families gather for mother's day weekend. We had a Fantastic stay! The pictures do not do this place justice! Everything feels updated, clean and fresh feeling. There was so MUCH to explore! The property provided tons of towels, blankets, sheets, canoes and kayaks, fishing poles, dishes. The ONLY things I can complain about was that we couldn't get the sauna to work. ( may have been user error...idk) and we wish there would have been a hose. The lake stinks pretty bad so it was not swimable but we took the boats out and the lake is beautiful. I DEFINITELY recommend for large groups. SuCH a great time!

Great house, green lake

We had a great stay, exploring some places in Alabama but, the lake was not what we expected. The lake was covered in smelly green stuff so we couldn't get in the lake at the property. We were told that should not have been our expectation but, it was because it is described as a lake house. It seemed like this was possibly the norm on that part of the cove. The house on the other hand was great, it had plenty of space and was well supplied with everything you need and a big yard with a basketball hoop. If you are looking for a big house with lots of space and a great yard, this place is great. Just manage your expectations with the water and don't expect to get on or in the water from the dock.

Unique home with lots of appeal

Our ladies' group visited and absolutely loved the home and surrounding area. It is pretty easy to find once you know to look for the 'welcome' sign on the turn off from the main road. The main draw is that fabulous view: either from walls of windows or from the wonderful screened porch. It is a great place for anyone with mobility issues; no stairs and an easy walk to the water. We loved the décor, too. A treat on our last day was the metal roof when it rained! The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of seating, the kitchen was well stocked and the grill was ready to fire-up! The only semi-issue we had is that the floor going into the bunk area is uneven and that is not readily noticed. It wasn't a problem once we realized it but in socks or bare feet it is easy to slip. No one was hurt but it would be good to have some type of notice to take care in that area. Although we did not need anything, Paula let us know she was available and she was wonderful to work with during the entire rental process. We highly recommend this property and will try to return in the future! Thank you for everything!

Why they chose this property

I have always needed "blue space" in my life to help me relax. It doesn't matter if I'm at the beach or at the lake, just being on the water makes me happy!

What makes this property unique

I love spending time with my family. The lake house is big enough for us all to gather and enjoy the day =)
