Family vacationers, fishermen and duck hunters welcome*** Come and enjoy a memorable family vacation or fishing trip at “The Plain Jane” This Lake Guntersville waterfront home is nestled in the cove between Pine and Preston Island; It’s conveniently located within sight of waterfront boat ramp and close to fishing supply/gas store. The home is located halfway between Scottsboro and Guntersville off highway 79 in a private cul-de-sac.
The Plain Jane is a fully furnished, single level home, with an enclosed garage and private boathouse. It has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths The enclosed boathouse and dock have deep water all year with bass, bream and catfish.
This newly decorated lake themed home has a master bedroom with a new comfortable king size bed, on suite full bathroom and view of the lake, the other two bedrooms are furnished with a new comfortable queen size bed in each and share an adjoining full bathroom. In addition, a single rollaway bed is also available. The large great room has comfortable couches, an oversize chair with hide away single bed, a 75 inch flat screen Smart TV, Wi-Fi and a lake view. The eat-in kitchen is well stocked with cookware, serving pieces, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, standard coffee maker, electric skillet, electric griddle, crock pot, microwave, stove, oven, and toaster. There is amble counter space, dishwasher, full size refrigerator with ice maker and an additional full size fridge in attached garage. Laundry room has the half bath, washer and dryer. The house is pet friendly up to two pets with a one time deposit of $75, please inquire if you have any questions about the pet policy. Out the lakeside French doors is a large covered porch with rocking chairs overlooking the large flat backyard and lake. Have your coffee or breakfast while looking over the Tennessee River main channel. The morning sunrises framed by the distant mountains are stunning and the fishing is always good! Come and enjoy!

Great Lake House

It was great to sit on the porch every morning and take in the beautiful lake view. The fire pit was perfect to sit around and enjoy s'mores. The entire family had a great time. This was the perfect house for our vacation on the lake.

Great Location for anglers

Great access to the lake and conveniently located between Guntersville and Scottsboro. Great gas station and tackle shop across the road. Property is exceptionally maintained and spacious. The boathouse keeps you on the water and not at the boat ramp.

Wonderful Week at the Lake

We had an amazing week at this property. The house was very clean, comfortable, and spacious with a great location. The boat house and dock were great and we caught several bass from it. We will definitely stay here again in the future. The property manager was to notch and communicated with us before and during our stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Perfect Family Retreat

We rented this home for our family Christmas and it exceeded our expectations! The view is lovely and there is plenty of outdoor seating, including chairs and a fire pit by the water. The inside is spotless. The beds are very comfortable and they provide plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The amenities included with this property are what sets it apart. There were tons of indoor and outdoor activities, and the kitchen was stocked better than my own! It felt more like a friend letting us use their home than a vacation rental. Jessica is an excellent host!

It is so hard to summarize how amazing this house is! The property itself is absolutely gorgeous! The house is warm welcoming clean and has literally everything you could think of!! The lake is refreshing and delightful and a perfect location to make memories with your family! The fishing was fun for the family! There is definitely a lot of bass and you can fish right off the edge of the boathouse! The host is amazing and super attentive and responsive and responsive! If we weren’t trying to do every state in our lifetime I would just keep coming back here!!

Family Fishing Trip

I cant say enough how wonderful our stay was at Plain Jane. It needs to be renamed JEWEL JANE, because its a true Gem!!! The hosts are fantastic and very responsive. The house is perfect but the boathouse...wow, we literally lived out there most the stay. The lake was great for swimming right off the dock. We used their float in which they allow to you to use. And the fishing was great off the dock too. We caught several bass and one was almost 5 lbs!!! The house has just about everything you could possibly need. The Waterfront boat ramp, right next door basically, was so convenient as well as the market. Dollar General is only about 1.5 miles away too. I highly recommend Plain "Jewel" Jane!!! 😊

Home away from home

I loved this place!! First of all Jessica was an awesome host. Always available if we needed anything. I so enjoyed waking up and having my coffee looking at the beautiful lake. I caught many beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The boathouse was a real plus!! If it was raining we hung out there and did catch a couple of nice bass. It’s January so it wasn’t always warm enough to get out on the boat. Also, I don’t think there is anything that you would need that Jessica hasn’t thought about. The house was so well stocked. Just like home but with a view❤️
