VRBO apartment

Spacious, has a nice balcony, and the upstairs outer area was spacious to enjoy being outdoors. It was quieter than downtown Tulum! and lots of little restaurants or coffee shops etc. A nice walk or bike ride area to get back to Tulum city center. Fridge was big and spacious, microwave works, stove was great, water didn't smell (like a place in downtown Tulum did) And the host was most generous to let us leave luggage there until check in and the cleaning got finished.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Worst experience i've ever had!

This is a scam, plain and simple. For sale sign on the balcony. They never gave us instructions on how to enter the property. We sat outside for almost 3 hours trying to get a hold of him. Vrbo was no help that day. Had to book another place, vrbo did find us a place for the rest of our stay. He canceled about 3 hour after the 4pm check in time as to try and not get penalized from vrbo. Dont book with him!

Hello, Will I sincerely apologize for the situation and would like to explain the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any information about your booking, neither on the day it was made nor on the day of your arrival. I use a channel manager system that integrates various rental platforms, but this time there was an error. I only became aware of your reservation when you contacted me through another platform. The apartment was already rented at the time of your booking, and the "for sale" sign refers to another unit in the building, not mine. You mentioned this was a scam – I disagree. If it were, you wouldn’t have received a refund or an alternative accommodation offer from VRBO. At the time, I was in the mountains with no internet access, and my manager also had no knowledge of your reservation. Thanks to this situation, the issue with the system has been resolved to prevent similar cases in the future. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience. Best regards, Piotr
