Spacious and charming but not clean
This apartment was very cute and charming and spacious. Located in an okay neighborhood that was close to the Balfour Street tram stop which takes you to Princes Street. But that’s where the pros of this apartment end.
Now for the cons. Upon arriving, my friend made me aware of someone’s hair all over the bathtub. The shower itself had the worst water pressure of all time no matter how much we adjusted the settings. I stayed in the room to the right of the entry and the sheets were scratchy and extremely uncomfortable. The extra pillows in the wardrobe had stains all over them and no extra pillow cases to put over the stained pillows were in sight. There was also a loose floorboard in this room right by the door that squeaking very loud anytime it was stepped on. The kitchen was okay and served its purpose for storing food and drinks in the fridge. But the stove was left with an oil blob and food on it from the previous guests. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you’re not going to get it here. We heard every car drive by, every bird chirping in the morning, every other person in the building walking up and down the stairs. We also asked to check in early and were told no which I assume was because it needed to be cleaned which I would have been understanding about had the apartment actually been clean when we arrived.
Save your money and stay at a hotel. This place was not worth it.
