LOCATION

It’s a dramatic area in terms of beauty with some of the most spectacular coastal walks in West Cornwall on your doorstep. Sennen is a short drive away with a great surf school, beach bar and good local pub. Further afield it's an easy drive to Penzance, Mousehole and St Ives which are all worth a visit.

LIVING
The cosy living area is centred on the large inglenook fireplace with a Clearview wood burner. It’s a wonderful place to relax in with a large comfy sofa and armchair. There is a flat screen TV with built in DVD player and Freeview.

COOKING & EATING
The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and another separate fridge. In the open plan dining area, there is a small farmhouse dining table and four chairs plus another wood burner. Between the two areas there is a very slight difference in the levels of the two floors.

SLEEPING
The front two bedrooms are both double and have splendid views across the fields to the sea and both have chest of drawers one has a fitted wardrobe and one a freestanding wardrobe. At the rear of the cottage with side views is a large single bedroom with a full-sized metal framed single bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

BATHING

USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: There's room to park in the private space behind the cottage and an extra space to the side. Be aware the lane may be rough and not be suitable for a low-slung sports car. Please drive with caution in bad weather.
WI-FI: We're at the edges of BT's empire here and while there is good Wi-Fi, it is occasionally slow due to the distance to the exchange. Occasionally in bad weather it can drop out but we will always try to get it fixed as quickly as possible. There is good 3/4G for checking emails if this happens.

HEATING: There is a wood burner in the living area and a second in the dining room and independent wall mounted dimplex heaters throughout.

PETS: Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at £35 each per week/short break. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.

LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.

UTILITY: The utility room off the kitchen houses a washing machine and small tumble dryer. There is also an airer, iron and ironing board.

ACCESSIBILITY: The road leading to the barn is quite rutted. You will need to drive very slowly and would not be suitable for low slung vehicles. Giffy House is suitable for children and the parking is a level walk to the front door. The internal stairs, as in all old cottages, are steep so it may not be suited to those with limited mobility so do call us first to make sure it’s suitable for you.

This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming.

CHANGEOVER & SHORT BREAKS: Changeover is usually Friday. Short breaks are available for a minimum of three nights with flexible changeover days. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.

MOBILE PHONES: You get a signal on most networks but being an old granite cottage, you may have to find the right spot!
