Step outside the cottage and guests can enjoy a wonderful patio area with seating, the perfect place to escape to enjoy a glass of something cold on a summer’s eve after a hard day exploring the stunning local area.
Situated in the very heart of the lovely old village of Parwich, it boasts a delightful pub set on picturesque village green with a church, village hall, playground and many pretty cottages. Parwich dates back to the Saxon times and has an air of peace and tranquillity about it. The local pub is a traditional country pub in the serving cask ales and delicious home cooked food. Not only is it a pub, but should you require your groceries, it serves as the village shop. The nearby Manifold River cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists, with the ’Manifold Trail’ following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway.
Nearby is the pretty village of Ilam, the award-winning village of Alstonefield, and Brassington, while golf, horse riding, cycling and sailing are all available within 7 miles. There are so many days out to enjoy such as Alton Towers, or visit the impressive Chatsworth House and Kedleston and Sudbury Halls. Also within easy reach are Matlock Bath and Carsington Water, while further afield are the market towns of Ashbourne and Leek. Such a beautiful cottage’s. Everything you need is there. Only issue is a parking area but I don’t think the owners can do much about that. If I could suggest something is more light outside the property as in nighttime you can’t see much when you walking up to the cottage’s.
