Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Bidet, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and highchair. Welcome pack and doggy extras. External utility room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other properties on-site).. Extensive landscaped grounds with patio, garden furniture and BBQ (shared with other properties on-site). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Fishing on-site (licence & permit required). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring. There are sloping banks in the grounds.. Uniquely positioned to offer private access to the River Coquet where salmon and trout fishing can be available to guests, this cosy stone cottage has been sympathetically restored from an original farm building. The accommodation is immaculately presented and has the convenience of being all at ground floor level. The living room and kitchen/dining room both have lovely arched windows where the extensive landscaped grounds can be admired, or take a gentle stroll to the riverbank and watch the Coquet ebb and flow. Refurbished in 2021, Guests are treated to a welcome pack which contains free range eggs, scones and jam from the local bakery, fresh milk, treats for dogs and a picnic set for day trips. Wren Cottage sits in a tiny cluster at High Weldon, only 9 miles north of Morpeth where there is an abundance of good restaurants, shops and inns. Beach 12 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
Wren Cottage can be booked together with Robin Cottage (CC324018), Owl Cottage (CC324025) and Lapwing Cottage (UK3267) to accommodate up to 14 guests.
