The stairs lead you to the first floor, home to the large master bedroom with king-size bed, overlooking the front of the cottage and of course views across the Ampleforth valley and hills beyond. The single second bedroom offers rear garden and woodland views for a peaceful outlook. Both have access to the delightful spacious family shower room.

Outside the front garden is laid to lawn featuring a large stone flagged sun terrace. The rear enclosed garden with woodland to the back has a stone paved area and steps leading to the elevated seating area, which has special views to be savoured over a glass of wine or morning coffee.

Enjoy a romantic night out in one of the many eateries nearby including the Black Swan at Oldstead just four miles away, a Michelin-starred pub made famous by Tommy Banks, who also has the Michelin-starred Roots at York. Or pop along to The White Swan, just a two minute walk away, perfect for bar food and space to eat outside on a balmy summer evening.
