Great Location in Winterton

Great cottage so easy to get to the dunes which the dogs loved. We recommend Poppy’s the cafe in the village which we visited a few times during our stay also the pub was great very friendly and made the dogs very welcome. Good base for visiting the beautiful broads and other delightful places in Norfolk My only issue was the parking it is a little tight getting in and out when the neighbours cars are parked but we managed

Another perfect stay

Yet another perfect stay at HG. We’ve been there so many times we’ve lost count now. The house is always perfectly prepared for us and we have everything we need both there and in the local area no matter what time of year. We generally stay in the colder months so to know the house will be cosy for us and our furry babies is always a good thing. Our bubbas love the house too and are genuinely sulky when we come home (despite not contributing to any of the bills….due to the fact they’re dogs :-)

Hidden Gem

Hidden Gem is exactly what it says it is. A perfect getaway for our March holiday. The dogs loved the little courtyard garden as the sun was on it all morning. We spent alot of the time in the lovely sunny conservatory. A great place to snooze if you're a dog . Everything was laid out beautifully and very easy on the ground floor for the dogs to negotiate especially one who doesn't see very well. The beds were so comfortable and a lovely cosy bedroom. A view of the dunes from the back bedroom window and watching the sun rise was stunning. We had a lovely relaxing time with a short walk from the back door over the dunes onto the beach. A little shop, fish and chip shop and a lovely tearoom a five minute walk away. Pure heaven and we'll definitely be going again. Loved it and didn't want to come home! Plenty of communication before and during our stay with the lovely owners. Thank you.

great place to stay

We loved Hidden Gem. It is 5 minutes walk from the cottage over the dunes to the sea, and the beach at Winterton is sandy, dog friendly and beautiful. Hidden gem is very comfortable and well equipped with great views of the dunes. This is definitely one to return to for a lovely relaxing holiday.

We stayed here last year and came back.

We loved it here last year so determined to come back. Lots of living space with the conservatory and it backs onto the dunes. What more can you ask for when you have two dogs. Totally dog friendly and great customer service. Love the nearby beach cafe and super dog friendly pub that does great food.

Perfect location and lovely cottage

Hidden Gem was everything that I could have hoped for in a holiday home. The location was perfect, the cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and bright. The village was friendly with a great pub, fish and chip shop and local store.

Dune Heaven

Excellent cottage leading out at the back to the sand dunes and the beach. Our dog loves it and so do we. Have stayed with East Ruston Cottages many times and would stay again. This is our second time at hidden Gem but we have stayed at others as well. Perfect for dogs and walks on the dunes and beach.

Fabulous dog friendly cottage

We have been having short UK cottage breaks with dogs for a few years now and Hidden Gem is far and away the best cottage we have stayed at. The owners have thought about absolutely everything for humans and dogs. Fabulous location too, walking out of the back door straight onto the dunes that lead to a lovely, soft sandy, dog friendly beach.

Wonderful Hidden Gem

This was our second, and most definitely not our last, visit to Hidden Gem. The cottage is warm, cosy and very dog friendly with lots of lovely walks direct from the back door over Winterton Dunes. Great location for a short walk to local shop, pub and fish and chips. A lovely cottage and already can’t wait for our next visit!

It really is a gem

We just had another wonderful stay at Hidden Gem. Everything you can think you may need has already been thought of and provided. The garden is a lovely area to relax and catch some sun. Going straight out onto the dunes and beach and with fabulous walks from the door the dogs were living their best lives. Winterton is a lovely village. Pub, cafes, shop and chip shop are all very good. Can't praise the area or Hidden Gem enough. Already plotting our return.

A real hidden corner

Everything you could wish for for both humans and dogs( Norfolk water pressure not withstanding!) I’ve been coming to winterton for years now and I’d count this as one of my top two places to stay. Right on the dunes you can hear the sea at night and the birds in the morning, bliss! All credit due to the owners for such a lovely property

What an Amazing little Cottage!!!

We have just a spent a week here and can honestly say it’s been the best holiday with our dog we have had. This truly is a dog friendly property. The welcome pack for both human and dog is a lovely touch. During our stay we explored places in the car but there is so much to do straight from the doorstep. We will definitely be returning.

A stunning cottage

A stunning cottage with home comforts in every room. We walked in and felt very welcome and comfortable straight away. Our dogs had just the best time, they were able to be in all rooms with us and aLao able to walk out straight on to the dunes from the back door. The owners of the cottage know how to set up a very beautiful cottage for others to share.
