The property was in a perfect location on the royal mile and within walking distance of many attractions. The wifi was hit or miss but other than that everything was great!
So cute and convenient to everywhere! It was lovely!
The only issue was finding it. It is hidden in plain sight! Blue door between hiking shop and jewelry store.
I’m very happy to have stayed here.
The flat was lovely and central, although being up two flights of stairs isn't the best if you have a lot of luggage. There was a good amount of space and it was warm and cosy when we arrived. Overall we had a nice stay there. I would say that it would have been great to have been able to control the heating, which seemed locked into certain settings, so we were too hot at times. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable and needs changing and the shower wasn't the best. Also, the lock box outside the flat didn't work and we had to call the management company to find out where to leave the keys - which was stressful at 6am when you have a taxi waiting to take you to the airport. Despite me calling them again afterwards to reiterate where we had left the keys, they called me later on to ask where they were - which left me feeling like I had done something wrong despite following their instructions. So not a great end to the trip and I don't know if I would book a flat again when it became a bit of a hassle.
We were happy with this accommodation. It was right on High St, part of royal mile, so easy access from train station, close to dining and fun pubs, and easy to walk around. The kitchen, lounge area were comfy and cosy. As tall people, we found the bed too small unfortunately . Also being right on the street, the noise and light were a bit much for us… maybe some solid block out curtains needed. Otherwise, all fine.

The Heart of Old Town
This apartment was literally in the center of High Street. It was so easy to traverse the area and see the historic highlights of Old Town Edinburgh. There was some miscommunication on check-in procedures and wi-fi network, but that was easily cleared up by a phone call. There was also some street noise at night, but this is to be expected when you are in the middle of town, so bring some earplugs and it’s all good.
Our apartment was quite lovely, like stepping back in time, but with modern amenities. Great location on the Royal mile. We were concerned because other reviews mentioned The windows not having sufficient coverage to blackout the street lights, but they must have added nice wooden shades That worked perfectly. The only two issues I would say are the couch, which is not comfortable at all, more like sitting on a cardboard box and the bed. It’s a pretty, Brass style bed, but is on springs, which are very loud during the night when you’re turning over and we kept waking each other up, at first we thought it was a Car horn! Other than that, we were very comfortable.

The property was lacking one or two important items -- no kitchen towels!. And the bedroom blinds were insufficient to provide a darkened room for sleeping, given the light outside. I recommend proper blackout curtains.
The apartment itself was very nicely kept but the indoor stairway was very shabby and did not reflect the property. It needs repair and a paint job.
Would have been ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ had the washing machine not took my clothes hostage
This VRBO is centrally located and has an amazing check in and out process and adorable. Great for two people.
The only reason I am giving it a low rating is because the washing machine took my clothes hostage the night before checkout. The washing machine is from 1995 and ran one load just fine and then the door locked on the second load. It took my 3 hours and a lot of research to figure out how to open the door to release my clothes. I called the management company but it was late at night and they had no one available until maybe 0930 so I had to take matters into my own hands. I do appreciate that they had someone to answer my call after hours.
Luckily, after much work, I was able to set my clothes free. They were sopping wet and I only had a handful of hours before check out. I asked for a later checkout to allow my clothes a little more time to dry but that couldn't be honored.
Long story short, if this washer model "hotpoint aquarius ultima 1000 deluxe wm23" is still in the VRBO during your stay, DO NOT USE IT!
