Bedroom 2: Kingsize (5ft) Bed. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Enclosed front garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: Split level landing area, care to be taken please.. Smithy Cottage dating back to the 1700’s, is a sympathetically refurbished, well appointed cottage with a wood burner in the inglenook fireplace, located conveniently in the old part of Stainton close to the village green. The property is a couple of minutes walk from the popular village pub and provides a comfortable base to explore the Northern Lake District and Eden Valley. With Ullswater and Pooley Bridge just a few miles away from the doorstep you could enjoy one of the many walks, water sports and leisurely steamers. Alternatively a short drive takes you to the popular market town of Keswick. There are many walking and cycling trails within the Lake District National Park and numerous places of interest, including Beatrix Potter’s house, Hill Top, Dove Cottage, Go Ape at Grizedale Forest and the Lakeland Motor Museum. The market town of Penrith is only 10 minutes drive away, where there are a variety of shops, restaurants, supermarkets and pubs. The Rheged Discovery Centre is also within walking distance of the property.
