About this property

"Go on a Wine Tour "- Rennovated private oasis central to Boone, BRock, Banner.

This Side of Paris is Axios Charlotte top 10 pick as your home away from home that captures the style of High Country living with a sophisticated element of contemporary modern living. The house is nestled in the quietness and beauty of nature, but within a short drive to all that Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk have to offer.
The minute your vehicle makes the entrance to the long gravel path, serenity embraces you with a warm welcome in the summer months. The upper gravel parking area gives you access to a set of ascending steps that leads to the house. Additional parking is available in the upper gated asphalt driveway.
The house sits on an acre lot surrounded by nature. Evenings are wonderful for outdoor dining on the King's Table in Wilderness Sanctuary, one of three gardens; followed by an evening marshmallow roast by the fire pit.
If you travel to stay during ski season, Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Resort are within short driving distance to the house. We recommend your vehicle is equipped with four-wheel drive as snow may fall at any time.
If you enjoy fishing, there is a river at the bottom of the drive.
The House:
This 900+ sq foot cozy cabin sleeps up to 5 people (extra air mattress in the living room.) The house is comprised of two bedrooms, one bath, and a spacious living area. The updated kitchen is fully equipped to dish out good meals. If a rainy day settles you indoors, the smart t.v. provides entertainment or may beckon you to surf the web. Wi-fi is readily available.
You are renting our private home, therefore, we ask that you agree to our rental agreement prior to booking.
Check-in is any time after 3 p.m. If you need an earlier check-in time, please communicate the arrangement with us via email. We will accommodate requests as best as we can. Follow us on IG @thissideofparis for more property photos and guest reviews.

I am an artist and interior designer who enjoys the quiet side of life. My husband and I purchased this cabin for the purpose of creating a restful place in which to retreat when life gets too busy. Our hope is to share this beautiful property with people who enjoy High Country living and long for a quiet time to rest their soul.
We have invested sweat, countless hours, and a ton of love to make this house inviting for us and our guests.
If you choose to stay, our goal is to make this cabin your home away from home!
We are a phone call away if you have questions. Other than a quick text or phone call to welcome you, your stay at This Side of Paris will be as private as it should be. Follow us on IG @thissideofparis for more info, reviews, and photos.

Why they chose this property

Our property is a quick drive to downtown Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, yet it is quietly tucked away for long quiet days on the property.
Hiking trails are a short drive from the cabin. For an evening of fine dining, there are several restaurants in the area that won't disappoint.
There are also plenty of things for the kids to do around the property. There is fishing down at the bottom of the road, gem mining on Hwy. 105 and of course Grandfather Mountain never fails to delivery gorgeous views.
In the winter, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are a short drive. Follow us on IG @thissideofparis for more photos, reviews, and info.

We offer the best of both worlds. This cabin offers seclusion yet close to shops, restaurants, and activities in and around the surrounding communities of Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Follow us on IG @thissideofparis for more photos, reviews, and info.
