Shoemakers Cottage was entirely renovated in 2022, by its current owners, over 100 years after it was originally commisioned in 1920 by the Hubbard family.
The Hubbard family were very well known shoe makers in the City of Norwich and still influence todays shoe industry, they are linked to the early beginnings of start rite shoes.
Just 2 miles from Norwich City Centre, guests can either drive, cylcle or walk into the historic City.
Marriots way is just 500m from the property and provides opportunity for scenic walks, and bicycle rides without traffic. Marriots way runs from the City of Norwich to Aylsham.
The Space
Shoemakers cottage has two beautiful bedrooms and can sleep up to eight.
Bedroom one has a king Bed and a set of bunk beds.
Bedroom two has a double bed and a set of bunk beds.
There are two spacious bathrooms, one for each bedroom. The master bathroom has a bath. Both have XL shower cubicles and exceptional shower pressure.
The living space is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a lounge with corner sofa and 42" TV which has a Netflix subscription.
Both the central heating and hot water are controlled with HIVE heating controls.
Guest access
The property is accessed by a shared drive. Free Parking is available for two vehicles (three on request). And is within 5m of the front door.

Hosts Alan and Janine live next door with their three children and do share the garden and driveway.
The cottage is located on the River Wensum therefore all guests are to supervise children at all times and are encouraged to wear life jackets when around any water. Life jackets are provided free of charge by your hosts on request.
