The Collection Barcelona welcomes you to this beautiful 5 bedroom 4 full bathrooms apartment!! Our unit is located in the heart of Barcelona, right over plaza Catalunya. The apartment can accommodate up to 11 guests, which makes it the perfect choice for a large family or business groups. The apartment has two living area and two kitchens, ideal for having some privacy!
The apartment is 5 minutes from Metro Plaza de Catalunya (Red Line L1 & Green Line L3) and Plaza Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).
The Space:
Welcome to my recently renovated 165 m2 central located flat next to the emblematic centre of Barcelona, Plaza Catalunya. My apartment has just been entirely renovated to the highest standard! Its location and distribution makes it ideal for families and business groups
⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.
APARTMENT DISTRIBUTION:
The unit is distributed on two separate apartments; those are connected by a middle hall and are completely private for your stay! This distribution is ideal for groups and families that want to enjoy some privacy. The apartment has a capacity for up to 9 people distributed in 5 bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: 1 Double bed (with ensuite bathroom)
- Bedroom 2: 1 Double bed (with ensuite bathroom)
- Bedroom 3: 1 Double bed (with ensuite bathroom)
- Bedroom 4: 1 Double bed
- Bedroom 5: 3 Individual beds

The Neighborhood:
Dreta de l'Eixample is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It includes Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city, and the upscale streets Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. It is the bourgeois neighborhood of the city, which makes the majority of its population belong to the upper class of Barcelona. Dreta de L'Eixample is one of the most luxurious neighborhoods of Barcelona.
Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Plaza Catalunya (Lines 1 & 3 + train station) Plaça Urquinaona (Lines 1 & 4).
The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the bus "Aerobus" at Plaça Catalunya, in front of "El Corte Inlges". The cost is around 4.5€
Other Things to Note:
*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***
- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.
- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.
- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation
and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs
Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)
*** HOUSE RULES ***
1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction
2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.
3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).
4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.
5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.
6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.
7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.
Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

Fantastic location. Smooth check-in/checkout process. Plenty of space and steps from major sights, shops, restaurants, metro, etc... Easy to come and go and also felt safe and secure. Plenty of space and amenities for our party of 8 (4 adults, 4 teens). Good communication from owner/host. Would definitely return.

The location was perfect for getting around using public transit or walking to a destination. It was great having the virtual key, as we had a big group so each person could have access. The place was as expected based on the listing. We did have to restart the router 2x because the internet would go out (which meant the virtual key wouldn’t work), but it wasn’t a big deal.
I would definitely recommend staying here

I rarely write reviews because most places I stay at are “good enough”; I write if a property is very good. Or, as in this case, not. To start with the positives:
- the location is excellent, just half a block off Plaza Catalunya, a 2 minute walk to two metro stations
- it was very clean, even things like the living room cushions which a lot of places often miss.
However, thrre were a lot of issues:
- you can only access the building by a web link auto key. As such, you need data roaming, If you are not prepared to turn on your overseas phone, you will simply not be able to get in. No one met us at check-in so we would have been stuck if someone had not come out of the building and held the door open.
- the layout of the apartment is awkward - there are 2 small kitchens but neither was really functional - both had washing machines (no dryer) but only one worked. No coffee-maker was provided, only two capsule machines. Of course there were no cooking materials (salt, pepper) and no coffee or tea provided
- many other things were not working, and most egregiously, the bathroom in the back had no hot water. Our guest in that room had to shower in the common bathroom.
- there was no internet in the back; both tvs were not working (and one was missing a remote control)
- in all of the bathrooms there was no place to hang things in the showers; overall design not functional
- the manager was notified and just failed to address them. Does VRBO do any quality control??

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your detailed list of thing to improve.
We are quite surprise since yours is the first negative comment we have on our apartment, and even more shocked since you never mentioned anything during your stay, only that you did not have data and our team provided physical keys for the building door right away.
- The layout of the apartment can be seen on the listing pictures and is also mentioned on the listing description.
- The apartment has one kitchen and one kitchenette, also as described on the listing (with a coffee machine).
- Salt an pepper, among other eatables are not provided for sanitary reasons.
- The water boiler can be turned on and off.
- We have checked both TVs and seem to be working normally.
Our own team does quality control of the apartments we manage, and we certainly address immediately once anything is reported by our guests.
Really nice modern apartment with 5 bedrooms and super central location. Only issue is the shower heat and pressure is a bit inconsistent if multiple people are using it at the same time but otherwise a very nice stay!
