We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. 5 minutes from Principe Pio station and mall, 10 minutes from Palacio Real, 1 minute to a great coffee shop. The apt had plenty of space for the 4 of us. We had no issues with the wifi, even though we were on the bottom floor (basement). The check-in process took longer than it needed to, but it was no big deal. Overall, it was the perfect spot and we enjoyed it.
Exclusive Palacio was close to many attractions and close to nearby transit. It was easy to walk to the areas of interest. Emi was great with keeping in contact, answering questions and giving us suggestions to interesting places and popular spots in Madrid. Many thanks Emi! Much appreciation.
Fantastic property- looked just like the pictures- was clean and well maintained. The house had wonderful artwork and was super cool to stay in. We had a small issue with how you get in as it’s web based and the basement location doesn’t get a good signal and the washer wasn’t able to be plugged in but that was the only minor issue. The home was clean it was well cared for by owner we stayed a week and it was perfect, we could walk everywhere and the cafe at the corner was perfect for daily coffee and breakfast. We felt safe at the location but we are seasoned travelers if you are not you may feel intimidated at the urban environment but it’s a good part of Madrid and we felt secure. The rooms are large and the appliances etc all were top notch. Would HIGHLY recommend this apartment as it was cool to look at and stay in. Out of everyone in our travel party we won the “Coolest place” contest. Bravo!
Stayed for a week while visiting my daughter at college. The apartment was in an ideal location and was the perfect comfy, trendy, relaxing place to return to everyday. Has everything you need for a longer stay. The two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms meant plenty of space for all to get ready for our days. Communication with the host was great, responsive to any questions. Highly recommend.
The apartment was in a great location. It was in walking distance to many attractions and services. The apartment was clean, with one small issue with the small bathroom. The shower was not completely clean.
The management company was great. They were very helpful when we had an issue with the apartment lock, and was very accommodating when we requested a late checkout. They were also very responsive when we communicated with them.
Other than the bathroom issue, everything was perfect.
The apartment is in the bacement, but with enough windows. It is very very spacious, has a unique layout with beautiful artwork displayed on the wall. The location is superb, close to everywhere we wanted to go. Communications with the owner were very easy. Check-in and out were fast... The only complaint I have is the Wi-Fi in the apartment was sometimes weak (there is no cell phone signals either. We used US cell phones with a paid international data plan.). Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Check-in
This apartment looks lovely in the pictures but felt quite different in person. Upon entering it smelled very musty and you had to go through two doors before it felt “modern”. The smaller bathroom had something on the bottom of the wall that looked either uncleaned or like something was growing. One of the showerheads broke immediately as soon as I turned it on (literally split into two parts and water just dribbled out). To be fair, the owner was responsive to fixing that but I wasn’t there at that time. The couch also had stains on the top when we arrived that I had to scrub off (looked kind of like snot?) with a sponge. That could have come from the prior guests but seemed obvious enough that I would have expected the cleaners to see it. We also discovered a ton of ants and had to clean out our bags to make sure they didn’t come with us. The biggest issue though, for me, was communication. First, I asked about early check in because we have a toddler and our arrival was 3 hours prior to check in. I was told that even if we couldn’t check in, as long as the cleaners were there we could drop our luggage. Great. I asked how I would know when we could do so and they said to just message when we were arriving. I do so and didn’t hear back until a few minutes before normal check in, which left us stranded at a cafe with six bags and a child. We also never got clear instructions about where the washer was, which we needed to use. Overall frustrating and not as expected.
Spacious, artsy, well-lit apartment in great location
The space is funky, fun, artsy, and in a great location walking distance to many "must see" sights. We found many places to explore and fabulous restaurants within walking distance.Though the apartment was in the bottom "basement" that is just how it is situated from the street walk-in. Floor to ceiling windows provided natural light and great cross ventilation during the Summer months. I (60 yo) traveled with my grown son (age 25) and we each had our own space and sleeping area. My other son was studying in Madrid so he would visit and spent the night a few times on a very comfortable couch. We did have some issues with the Wifi. Being from the US, most of us have Apple devices that never "finished connecting" to the provided Wifi. We had to use our devices by the kitchen window with our data to get any connection due to the brick walls. The TV at the apartment was also not connecting to Wifi the first day, and once we reported this a maintenance crew was sent to the apartment to help. We got a working TV, but our phones and laptops still would not connect. The TV would occasionally freeze for hours. So I would say the Wifi is "spotty" and it would not be a great location for a guest that is on a "working vacation" or teaching remotely. For us, it was a minor inconvenience causing lulls in communication ....but we were on holiday!. Great water pressure, showers, amenities. Written instructions on how to use appliances in the kitchen would be helpful. Would absolutely return!
