The apartment was clean; the WiFi and air conditioning worked very well, as did the washer and dryer. My negatives: there was a large amount of pointless decorative clutter for such a small apartment. On arrival I had to collect all the knickknacks, which included Christmas pieces for an October stay, and gather them into an empty cupboard and onto a high shelf. The apartment is quite small and surface area being taken up by decorative objects wasn't helpful. The VeniceVillas information provided for transportation and sightseeing wasn't very helpful but seemed to be copied and pasted from generic sources with no practical help or personal insights. Because we are seasoned travelers I could set it all aside, and make my own plans, including official taxi transport, which was much cheaper than that offered by VeniceVillas, but a first time visitor might not have that choice. My final negative concerns the cheap, stiff threadbare towels and two tiny rolls of stiff thin toilet tissue. We went out and bought a small bathroom rug because the tiny threadbare shower floor towel was completely inadequate. Nicer towels and a floor mat or small bathroom rug would have made for more comfort. Great location for the Biennale.
