Earsdon Cottage is a charming and deceptively spacious Grade-II listed property dating back to 1684, located in a peaceful and unspoilt rural village in the Northern Fells.. Ground Floor:

Rear enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. On road parking. No smoking.. Earsdon has been recently refurbished to a high standard throughout yet retains many original features including exposed beams and stonework, these are complimented by antique and vintage furniture and excellent quality soft furnishings.
The cottage benefits form a spacious living room with a log burner as the focal point. The dining room is light and airy and has views to the enclosed garden. The refurbished and stylish kitchen is well equipped.
Ireby lies in North Cumbria and is surrounded by a wealth of great scenery. The village is also an ideal location to discover the rest of the Lake District and in particular the Northern Fells which tend to be less busy than the Southern Lake District. Bassenthwaite Lake is a 5 minute drive way. The delightful towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are only a 20 minute drive from Ireby and the beautiful and popular destinations of the Borrowdale Valley, Derwent Water and Whinlatter Forest, Buttermere and Ullswater are also within easy reach by car.

Absolutely fantastic, the cottage was superb and couldn't have wished for anything more ,we had a great time and enjoyed our stay ,one minor detail was the gate at the bottom of the stairs isn't dog proof, well not for our little spaniel, but so loved the place ,we would definitely come back

This cottage is simply beautiful.
This cottage is simply beautiful. It is quite possibly the best equipped cottage that my family have ever stayed in. The owners have definitely gone above and beyond with a few of the fantastic little extras detailed below:* permanently fitted stair gate to keep both dogs and children safe* The amount of utensils and equipment available for use in the kitchen was fantastic, the coffee machine with pods available was a lovely touch and there were more than enough items of crockery and cutlery available for use* Kitchen equipment that you would have at home for example mixing bowls, measuring spoons, and a large rang of trays and baking equipment you wouldn’t usually find in a holiday let* The provision of towels to use for the dog* An outside hot and cold shower for use to clean the dog and muddy boots* Torches hung by the majority of doors and windows for use by guests in the dark or a power outage (luckily not needed even with the dodgy weather) The cottage had been beautifully decorated for Christmas which added to the properties charming interior. The beds were comfortable and warm and the bathroom has been decorated to an extremely high standard with a powerful, hot shower and a stunning roll top bath. Phone signal in the village is fairly nonexistent, however, the provision of wifi meant that this was not a problem. There was a full size fridge and freezer available for use, a large washing machine which was handy for our muddy clothes following some beautiful walks in the surrounding area, and the range cooker was absolutely brilliant for cooking our Christmas dinner. I honestly cannot find any faults with this cottage. We had a fantastic stay and would like to compliment the owners on their attention to detail and pride that they clearly take in the property they are letting. Aside from the property itself they were extremely helpful as they kept in contact leading up to our holiday and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. The Christmas card they had left for us was a lovely touch and made us feel like extremely valued guests.
