About this property

Armada Cottage - Charlbury, Close to Pub

Close to the heart of Charlbury, Armada Cottage is Grade II listed and, together with its neighbour, is one of the oldest buildings in town. Parts date from the 1400s, and when you step through the door, you'll find a host of original features and character by the bucket load. Exposed stone walls, ancient beams and floor timbers combine with thoughtful design, encompassing all the creature comforts needed for a memorable stay.

The simple styling of the living room perfectly showcases the character of the cottage. Timber floors, beams and thick stone walls create a cosy and relaxing room. Tucked under the window is a dining table to seat four, whilst the autumn-hued-velvet sofa invites you to relax with a good book, or a film on the Smart TV, which is cunningly hidden in the corner cupboard by the fire. The beautiful kitchen combines polished styling with original features and has everything needed for a self-catering stay. Two delightful bedrooms occupy the first and second floors, along with two bathrooms.

Outside space comes in the form of a Cotswold stone-walled courtyard. This sunny spot is perfect for lazy afternoons or alfresco dining. There is a wrought-iron table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue. Charlbury Railway station is a short walk away, if you're bringing a car, on-street parking is available.

From the kitchen, there is a door to the charming courtyard garden.

Living Room:
Ceiling timbers and rugged stone walls flank a restful room. Enjoy cosy meals at the dining table, which fits snugly under the window, and curl up on the sofa for a night with a film. The first bathroom is a spacious shower room with a step-in shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
