About this property
The Freight Wagon - a unique and charming wagon in Gretton sleeping two guests
Peacefully situated in a rural spot on a farm setting near the village of Gretton, just a couple of miles from beautiful Winchcombe, The Freight Wagon has been carefully converted into a unique retreat in the heart of the Cotswolds. Upon entrance, the open-plan living space provides a cosy welcome. The chic, white walls combined with colourful furnishings, create a tranquil atmosphere with the sumptuous king-size bed allowing a peaceful nights sleep. Enjoy a home cooked meal at the dining table in the comfort of this beautiful wagon, after a day exploring the Cotswolds.
The well-equipped kitchen provides all that you need to create a romantic meal for two, and the shower room continues the sleek white theme, providing a walk-in shower and exposed floorboards.
Outside, enjoy watching the steam train trundle along the tracks across the open fields or visit the neighbouring sheep. Look out for deer, red kite and buzzards and listen out for the resident owl. Take a leisurely stroll to the lake where wildfowl reside or continue onto one of the many footpaths over the hills to the Saxon town of Winchcombe.
