You will be staying in the entire lower section of this recently refurbished nineteenth century barn, dating back to 1820 – complete with secure parking and shared use of a lawned garden – in the picture-postcard Lakeland village of Hawkshead, which is situated right in the heart of Beatrix Potter country in the centre of the Lake District National Park.
The spacious apartment – whose living space is open plan – has its own private entrance.
As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The well-stocked kitchen (spices and cooking basics included) has a fridge, freezer, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a microwave and a dishwasher. There is a Smart TV and internet access.
The bedroom is large but warm and features a double bed, two chests of drawers and a hanging rail for storage, a TV, and for extra cosiness – tea and coffee making facilities. Switch on the "Willow Ivy" LED lights above the headboard for an extra cosy/ romantic feel. Tealights and candles are provided to create a calm and relaxing mood in the lounge.
The lounge features two sofas (seating for up to five people), one of which folds out effortlessly to make a generous-sized double bed, making the property suitable for couples, couples with a child, two singles, or even two couples.
A Z-bed is available on request for couples wanting to put their child to bed in the bedroom while they enjoy winding down late at night in the lounge.
The bathroom has a toilet and sink and features a powerful walk-in shower.
Outside the front door is a bench for you to sit out and enjoy your morning coffee while the sun comes up; while to the rear of the property is a large, private, lawned garden that is shared with the accommodation on the first floor (if occupied). Both properties are run by us.
Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.
