Amazing location - Wonderful log cabin
We were a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teenagers) staying at this beautiful log cabin for 3 nights. The location was fantastic…only a few minutes drive from Ambleside. The log cabin was spotlessly clean, and everything we could possibly need. The outdoor space is a bonus with some amazing views. We loved every minute of our stay! Thank you 💕

About the host

Host profile image
Maggie and I have been renting our private holiday home to discerning guests for quite some time now and we have met and been reviewed by some lovely people along the way. We both retired from our full time employment in 2018 and took the opportunity to relocate to the beautiful Isle of Man; but we still visit The Lakes every 6 weeks or so. In the meantime our trusted housekeeper ensures that our guests are very well catered for.

Why they chose this property

Commercial parks are great but they're not everybody's cup of tea. For those who want mature and tranquil woodland surroundings and to be close to wildlife then our privately owned lodge is ideal. There's no central clubhouse, no sky sports and definitely no bingo - if you want that then nearby Parkdean Resorts can be found easily on Google.

What makes this property unique

Bird life is in abundance. Red squirrels can often be seen scurrying from branch to branch and deer sometimes visit our garden looking for any carrots or parsnips that guest may leave out.
