4 Bedroom 2 Bath beach retreat, quiet beaches of Southern Shores. Pets invited.

Classic, updated beach house surrounded by live oaks. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is within walking distance to the beautiful beaches of Southern Shores on the Outer Banks. You'll have a well-equipped kitchen with a gas range for cooking and all modern stainless steel appliances and a large comfortable sofa in the great room with a flat screen TV, DVD player, cable, and board games. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed and private deck, sharing a bathroom. The main floor has one bedroom with a king-size bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. All linens and towels are provided. There is also a ground floor laundry room with an extra fridge/freezer and multiple beach chairs and accessories. Rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. The large, fenced-in backyard is very private and has plenty of space for your dogs and the wraparound deck is gated allowing pets and guests to roam. An ideal, quiet location to escape with shopping, restaurants, and entertainment conveniently located nearby. Active duty military, veterans, and first responders receive a discount.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please ensure any parking passes are removed from your vehicle and returned to the house
Trash pickup is Monday and Friday in the summer and Monday in the off-season. Please roll the trash can down to the curb prior to your departure. Also. recycling pick-up is Friday.
If you are a pet owner, please pick-up and dispose of any dog droppings in the back yard and also gather any pet toys/treats from under the furniture and beds. Please sweep or vacuum excess pet hair.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please keep dogs leashed at all times when outside the fenced in area and please scoop/pick up dog feces from backyard and dispose of.
Trash pick-up is Monday/Friday in summer and Monday year round. Recycling is Friday. Place bins on curb night before.
Any vehicles parked on the street must have tires off the pavement as per Southern Shores town ordinance.

We loved the house. The fenced in pet area was great. Much appreciated that we could bring three dogs. The kitchen was well equiped. We had no problems at all. Our stay was wonderful!

The house was perfect for our family of 6. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We used the trail on clam shell for beach access. We found it was closer and less busy than the Chicahauk access. We would stay here again

Great little beach cottage!

We stayed here while our home was undergoing some repairs and absolutely loved this place! It was perfect for our older dog, who explored the huge fenced in backyard and got to romp daily on the great beaches! We loved being able to easily walk to the beach and the walking paths and trails throughout Chickhauk were ideal! The hosts were so accommodating to our needs and super responsive. I would recommend this property to anyone who loves a cozy beach cottage experience.

My wife, son and I along with our dogs enjoyed this place for 12 days. The host was excellent with communication and was very accommodating of our time constraints for check in and check out with my 1.5 year old’s sleep schedule. The layout of the inside is awesome if you had a larger family or group staying where people could spread out to various rooms, with the central living room and kitchen that was beyond well equipped. A major determining factor for staying here was all of the beach items such as chairs, a wagon, kayaks etc which are shown in the listing. While we were too preoccupied with our little one to kayak, we very much appreciated the conveniences in this house. The beach was a short 5 minute walk and the neighborhood area was lovely and worth walking through as many days as we could get to it. We look forward to staying here again!

This is a lovely house located close to the beach and central to Currituck and the Outer Banks. Loved the decks and huge fenced yard especially since we were able to bring our fur-baby along. We would love to return.

Nice place close to the beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You can hear the ocean waves from the deck. Close enough to Duck for a leisurely bike ride to town. Quiet streets around for pleasant neighborhood walks. It is a wonderful spot to relax.
