The Coach House, South Cerney, is an exquisitely refurbished 18th century Grade II listed Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps two guests (no children aged 17 or under permitted except for one infant aged two or under), in one fabulous bedroom, with an ensuite. This charming and sophisticated renovation is full of tasteful and stylish country chic interiors and has a thoughtfully designed open plan living space, well-equipped kitchen and delightful living area complete with electric flame effect wood burner and cosy soft furnishings. A whimsical setting awaits in the courtyard with a quaint seating area and a superb outdoor bath tub, the fundamental cure after a long day exploring the Cotswolds. If that wasn't enough, The Coach House is dog friendly!

Such a lovely stay in South Cerney

We enjoyed a winter break in this beautiful cosy cottage. Communication was excellent, and on arrival it was super cosy and warm. Set in a beautiful village, where we enjoyed lovely walks and visiting beautiful surrounding areas. The owner has taken care to ensure that all amenities are catered for and that a comfortable stay is ensured, whilst allowing you privacy throughout. Thank you. We look forward to returning.

A lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at the Coach House for my partners birthday. The house was amazing and equipped with everything you could need for a mini break. The location was fantastic with many walks nearby for the dog, but also two pubs just 2 minutes walk away for us (which were dog friendly). The outside tub was a lovely touch too with robes also included. Overall a wonderful stay, which I would recommend to anyone.

Perfect for a short getaway

Probably the cleanest holiday cottage we have stayed in! Appears to have been relatively recently converted so everything is nice and new. A small, well equipped cottage. Outside bath is a great addition. Well positioned for exploring the south Cotswolds. Excellent service from Stay Cotswolds and will definitely be using again.

Will definately return!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Coach House. The house itself is so cosy and comfortable. Great attention to detail, lovely decor and comfy bed. Loved a soak in the sheltered outdoor bath after a day out touring the Cotswolds. In a really quiet village, very peaceful, off the main street. Parking right outside. The village has a shop, an Indian restsurant/takeaway and 2 lovely pubs. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Coach House South Cerney

The Coach House was delightful Very clean and cosy A perfect base to visit the Air Tattoo at Fairford; which we have been going to for years. Already booked the Coach House for next year If I had one complaint it would be the saucepans - perfectly clean but past their best

Amazing stay. We will definitely be back. 10/10

We loved staying here. The place was very clean and modern. We loved the outdoor bath which we used every night. This place was great for our first holiday with our newborn baby. Location is excellent with supermarkets down the road, also lovely walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be returning as we love the Cotswolds and this place was amazing. I’d say the only tiny problem we had was the heat in the bedroom when the weather was nice, we couldn’t open the window much because of the insects. A fan would’ve been ideal. Other than that, 10/10.

Soooo Good

What an amazing weekend we had celebrating our wedding anniversary. The accommodation was to a very high standard, very clean and that bath tub was an amazing addition. There are two excellent pubs a few hundred yards away and the fish n chip shop opposite the pub was also excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Cotswolds break

The Coach House in South Cerney is the perfect place for a mini break in the Cotswolds. We stayed for 4 nights, it is small but perfectly thought out and decorated. We weren't missing anything we needed whilst we were there. Its a great location for local walks with plenty of places to eat nearby or with in driving distance of lovely things to do or places to go as well. There are 2 fabulous pubs in the village, along with a fish and chip shop and small coffee shop, the area is lovely and quiet for a nice relaxing stay. The info provided in the run up to the stay was informative and the owner was quick to reply when I had a question but it felt completely private whilst we were there.

Amazing cottage stay for a couple

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this cottage. It was perfect. We brought our 6 month old daughter and had everything we needed for her, cot and highchair. We had a lovely bath in the cold as well! The cottage was in a perfect location close by to a couple of pubs and great walks! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The property manager Stuart, was super lovely and helpful too! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Perfect for our stopover

Beautifully presented gorgeous little cottage with all you need for a couple of nights in The Cotswolds. We wanted a place to stop over on our way home from Cornwall and to visit The Farmers Dog. Located in a sweet little village with a couple of pubs for dinner and a cafe for your morning coffee. Perfect that our dog could stay too. Very well put together with a glorious little pebbles yard for breakfast and an outdoor tub, what more could you want after a day exploring the stunning Cotswolds. To note also we booked very last minute like the night before and the company and housekeeping were very helpful in ensuring the cottage was ready for us. Towels and robes provided with milk, fudge and desperado pods too. The perfect end to our holiday.

Perfect Cotswolds retreat

A fantastically appointed cottage in a lovely Cotswold village. The premises is newly refurbished and has been completed to an exemplary standard; the building may be old but the crisp detail incorporated into building is first class. In addition, the decor throughout is superb and adds are air of simple luxury. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage. Well done to the proprietors of this cottage, you have created a wonderful environment.

A little disappointed

Neat property, but disappointed on internal seating, the couch is very low and, imo, difficult to get get up from! Security canera from nearby house felt intrusive if you were sitting in courtyard.

The owner has taken great care in furnishing and decorating the house to a high standard, which is reflected in the positive feedback on our website. We have shared your comments with the property owner, who was sorry to learn that you found the seating to be too low and challenging to rise from. While this is not feedback we have received previously, had the concern been brought to the owner’s attention during your stay, he would have been more than happy to offer assistance or make suitable arrangements. The 3 seated sofa and sitting room chair was recently purchased from a reputable high-end retailer, with comfort and quality in mind. The armchair is high-backed and has armrests for added support. Both the sofa and the armchair in the Sitting Room can be viewable on the website. Regarding the security camera, the owner has confirmed that the CCTV system is in place solely to monitor the entrance gate, in accordance with his home insurance requirements. It does not overlook the courtyard, and this detail is included in the property’s listing under the finer details. We hope you will return soon.

The perfect mini-moon

We booked The Coach House for our mini-moon straight after our wedding and what a fantastic find! It was perfect. Enclosed garden, great for the dog, and we loved the bath outside! We had incredible weather the whole weekend, and with the two local pubs less than a minute walk away (and a delicious chippy), it was ideal. The actual Coach House itself is the perfect getaway for two people and a dog, everything you need, modern-cottage vibe and a very comfy bed! We would definitely recommend exploring the lakes around South Cerney - there was a fab pub walk book/guide in the accommodation, definitely do the walk starting from the local pub! We can’t wait to hopefully come back in the future.

Fantastic little cottage

We’ve just got back from the most tranquil stay in The Coach House. It was the perfect location for visiting the villages of The Cotswolds. The cottage itself was located just seconds away from two lovely pubs, a wonderful coffee shop which we visited frequently (The Pennycress) and definitely try the village chip shop while you’re there. There are lovely walks around the village and we even followed a public footpath and walked to Cirencester one of the days. Also recommend checking out the restaurants and activities on the near by lakes, we did an outdoor swim one evening and it was lush. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. It’s stunningly decorated and has a lovely charm to the place. The outdoor bath is a massive bonus to the property. It was so quiet and relaxing outside with a glass of fizz in there after long days exploring. The weather was on our side for the week so we made sure to make use of the bbq a few times and they provide all the utensils needed. Stuart (the owner) answered any questions we had in a timely manner and I even left something there and he’s posting them back me, no issues! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone and we will be back.

Relaxing and comfortable retreat

We were lucky enough to stay at this lovely property for 4 weeks. Upon entering the delightful cottage it was a wow from us as everything was immaculately presented and had been well thought out. Everything you need for your short stay or long stay was provided including washer, dishwasher, oven, coffee pod machine. Milk was provided on arrival along with tea and coffee giving us time to go shopping to buy groceries. The lounge kitchen was functional and comfortable. We found the sofa and armchair very comfortable. There were games provided to play if the weather was bad. The bedroom is a good size and the bathroom modern and well equipped. Toiletries were all provided. The quality of the bedding provided was excellent. There was a fan in the bedroom which we did use through the hot weather. Outside there was a gravel courtyard area with seating and a fantastic outdoor bath. For us being there over a long period of time we would have loved to have had more comfortable seating provided. Parking is easy and usually able to park directly outside the unit. The cottage is located close to the local café and 3 great pubs, all within easy walking distance. The property was also well situated to explore the Cotswolds, we visited Jeremey Clarkson’s pub and the food was great. Stuart was great to deal with and answered any queries quickly. Would highly recommend staying here. We are already planning our next trip.
